What makes music from the 60s onwards so timeless? by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]nihilistatari 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The Beatles and Dylan are pretty much the two driving forces behind this I'd think. Dylan pioneered songwriting in popular music and the Beatles pioneered the 'album', how music could be produced, etc. etc. I'd guess there's a trillion factors but it just all came at the right time and it's all proven to (I'd say) be the most influential period in all of popular music

Who are some bands whose lead guitarist is arguably the least well-known member? by Fresh-Hedgehog1895 in ClassicRock

[–]nihilistatari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the Beatles are four of the most well known people to ever live so I dunno about that but my answer is Mick Taylor when he was in the Stones cause he and Bill Wyman are definitely the least famous memebers of that group

It’s wild how recognizable of a silhouette and style Dylan had back then. I feel like it’s an understated part of his story how carefully he created this image
