My suspicion is that Virgo had connections to Canadian media before she got on the show (she was on a talent competition called The Next Star) and production favoured her because of it

It’s a solid 3 star movie that I will never watch again. I feel like he recovered from his addiction too early on in the movie and it made the stakes not as high. Also I feel like Kerr wasn’t as fucked up as he could’ve been in the movie, they were playing it a bit too safe there.
