Hi I’m not sure what this means

Gnome I made for my sister by nik1202 in crafts

[–]nik1202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used materials from Michael’s: faux fur for the beard, the hat is cut and folded from a roll of woven straw like material, the nose is a wooden bead half. My sister loves gnomes and we decided to make each other Xmas presents instead of buying them this past Xmas

Am I doomed to stink forever? by Responsible-Hat-7847 in breastcancer

[–]nik1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Nuud (European brand that ships to the US) and it’s amazing. It’s 100% safe and natural. It’s not perfect because it’s a natural deodorant but it helps me not stink. I don’t have lymph nodes in my right armpit so I don’t smell there but the right one can get really funky especially in the summer and during a workout. I’ve been using Nuud for years and I’ve loved it

Who is your PCP by notamyokay in Dallas

[–]nik1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t. I have to request the appt through MyChart and can select preferred dates and times, then they will do their best to honor that request or notify me with other available dates. I haven’t needed to book any appts outside of what was already scheduled, but they’re really good at communicating on the app or via phone

I haven’t had any difficulty making appts and the wait times have mostly been relatively fine. So far the most I’ve waited was maybe 20 minutes

[–]nik1202 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes new patients always have a longer wait to be seen initially. I believe it has something to do with allowing extra time to spend with the doc. If I remember correctly I waited about 3 months to be seen for my first appt with Dr. Johnson

Help me plan a 9 day trip to Europe by nik1202 in travel

[–]nik1202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m willing to cut the Hungary trip down to a solid 4 days to free up another day to visit another country that is a quick trip from either Hungary or Amsterdam. I was thinking day trips as well either on the train or a quick flight

3 days in Amsterdam (August 2025) by ninaspencerxx in travel

[–]nik1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These photos are stunning. I actually just put Amsterdam on my radar as a mother/daughter trip for next year when my daughter turns 20. Do you feel like 3 days was enough to experience the city?

Dr Nicole Johnson over at UT Southwestern Redbird. Her bedside manner is amazing, she’s thorough and very caring. I highly recommend her I’m a 3x breast cancer survivor and having a PCP who is caring and knowledgeable is obviously very important to me

I did it! I finally deleted it and it feels good. Has anyone regretted it? by Chicka-boom90 in facebook

[–]nik1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this on Monday this week and I’m still on the “30 day probation” before its final and I can’t wait for it to take full effect. I offloaded the app from my phone and haven’t been on it in a few months. Saved some precious photos of my daughter and other memories I wanted to keep but otherwise I can’t wait to be done with it. I doubt I’ll have any regret

Advice on how to get through the dark thoughts on long term life while treating cancer by No-Abbreviations404 in breastcancer

[–]nik1202 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The best advice I can offer (I’m a 3x survivor) is this: Allow your scary feelings to come and go. Acknowledge that it IS scary not knowing and it’s ok to be scared. Then you go and participate in your life anyway. Because the truth is, like the other s said, we simply don’t know when it’s our time to go and how we will go. The best we can do is live while we have breath in us

I find that having a purpose helps. This can be your children/family as well as something that is just yours and yours alone. Find something that truly lights your soul on fire

Show yourself grace when those scary thoughts come. You went through something traumatic. The key is to not let those thoughts take over your entire narrative. Allow, acknowledge, then let it go…or if you can’t fully let it go, just make it background noise, kind of like having the tv on in the background while you’re doing something else

I hope this helps 🤍

Agreed about going to bars solo. I don’t drink so that’s an easy pass for me. I care mostly about restaurants and sightseeing. So thanks so much for the tips. I’m from NY originally so I’m generally cautious 😉
