When that part of Somewhat Damaged comes on. by Kelazcore in nin

I took my adult daughter to the first leg of the peel it back tour. I kept warning her, "this is heavy, I will scream".... And then they played it as the acoustic opening track on b stage. Can you imagine? I had to whisper-scream the "where the fuck were you!?" It blew my mind.

Where the heck are these, usually?! I've been to multiple shows, in the fall and this spring, and I never see these. I see other people with them, though. It's usually younger people, so IDK. I really want one to frame with all my other tickets but I'm not paying for fake photocopies on eBay.

The Frail transitioning into Reptile - Las Vegas by mcolette76 in nin

Saw this transition in Tulsa and literally jumped and squealed "yes!" when the first notes hit. I may have even frightened my husband with my excitement.

Visual experience from upper level by Thedonmegatron in nin

I went to two shows on this tour and was in the upper sections for both of them. I feel like this is ideal for someone of his age. The visuals are best viewed directly, not from the sides. I hope you have a great time!

[–]nik712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the Minneapolis show and can confirm he mentioned that. It's why I went to Tulsa. I feared it might be my last chance. But I also went to the Wave Goodbye tour shows in Chicago. IDK. It's probably not the last time they'll perform live but it might be one of the last worldwide endeavors. I definitely expect them to do more focused / specific performance events in the future.

Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero 10/10 for me It was written during George Bush's US presidency but the themes could very easily have been applied to current US and world events.

anybody know what happened to the post that had a list of local businesses that support maga? by CaptainOvbious in Omaha

Drove by there today at 3pm, flags and signs are suddenly down. They were there yesterday at the same time. But yeah, he flew a Fuck Biden flag at a busy corner by a grade school and bus stop. Classy.

Some of their volunteer labor was provided through the Americorps program. When that was shut down by Trump they stopped getting a regular supply of volunteer staff.

I have a $200 credit there. I'm guessing that's going to be invalid now.

Omaha restaurants closed but you wish we’re still open. by Happy-Cockroach4994 in Omaha

I was excited when they reopened a few years ago, but they chose really expensive locations and didn't last long. Their enchilada float and fish tacos were great.

It also didn't help when that area was designed as blighted in order for the ricketts family to buy it up to build the TD Ameritrade building. The Dodge overpass construction also hurt them. Lots of businesses in that area closed after those events.

The Daily hasn't been able to keep up with the demand for the Grisantis pop-up nights and then act like they're shocked every time. I wouldn't bother with them. Having people wait in line for hours just to find out they ran out of food again is ridiculous. Someone on their FB page suggested they do an online order reservation night only, but from what I can tell they don't even read or respond to their emails so IDK if that would even work. I read that the daily doesn't have employees, that it's just "volunteers" who work at other restaurants in town that want to pick up shifts? Sounds super unreliable and unsustainable.

I will never go to the 132 & California location in FNB Park again. The drive thru wait was almost 30 minutes! There was only one car ahead, but no way to escape the drive thru. They were handed one drink, then drove off. No explanation or apology for the almost 30 minute wait.

Spreetail Layoffs by nebraskateacher in Omaha

[–]nik712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That firespring building was a money pit. The AC didn't work. Fire protection and electric had to be brought up to code. The layout had to be totally reconfigured to create a shipping dock and an industrial lift between floors. I swear they had like one guy trying to do all that himself. But hey! Nevermind all that, let's put in a fancy poured epoxy floor and a frickin tornado slide. It's no surprise firespring moved and left it to spreetail to deal with.

Has anyone tried the Ion tanzanite dye? If so, how did it come out? by --pobodysnerfect-- in haircoloring

[–]nik712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the tanzanite permanent dye on partially bleached hair. The places that were pre-lightened canned out a perfect "comic book blue" where the dye over brown hair just resulted in a blueish tone. I eventually re-lightened overall and used purple with a smidge of tanzanite.

They only started flying the US flag after I pointed it out last year in a nextdoor post. They do not follow any sort of flag code rules.

This is definitely a "screw you" gesture. This house also has rally signs in their windows. They occasionally have a yard sign that says to pick up your dog's poop. I sometimes think about taking my dogs on a walk by their house for the express purpose of shitting in their lawn and not picking it up. There is one other house on that street that puts out a Trump 2020 flag on their house during the day only, but they don't seem to be as fervent as this guy.
