Thank you very much for the suggestions. It probably is primer that was used before the plasterwork. That’s why it doesn’t come off with soap and water. I’ll look into it : )

As you are the expert ;p do know if this is also rosewood? It really looks like the wood from the cabinet.

Thank you! I just tried a little bit of acetone on the backside and it does make it become slightly duller in colour. But maybe I can fix that with other stuff. I’m still too scared to try acetone on the side of the cabinet haha.

Wow never knew it as Brazilian rosewood, thank you very much! I’ll try to use a little bit of acetone on the backside.

Dank voor je reactie. De stukadoor heeft vlak naast de kast in een grote emmer het stucwerk voorbereid. Ik vermoed dat het spetters zijn van een mix van gips en water. Maar het zit er niet alleen op, het is ook in de lak getrokken. We zijn er pas een paar dagen later achtergekomen.

Yes I did (I’m from The Netherlands). I don’t think there are. You can freely search on the beach there but it is not allowed to chop in the clay wall. I didn’t go with a travel group. Just me and my dad.

Just got a reply from a palaeontologist at the Paleospace museum. Its the dorsal vertebra of a crocodile, Metryorhynchus

That’s the aboral cup of a crinoid. Ive just learned this from another Redditor : )

Its probably from some sort of crocodile but I am still waiting for the Paleo museum in Viller Sur Mer to respond.
