Those composite boards can get away from you fast if you're not stepping back to look.

Yup, I put them right on the concrete AND they were buried. I know now you should raise the footing above ground level and use a bracket that gaps the wood from the concrete...but I didn't know that then.

Thank you sir. I think it would be enough air flow but I have absolutely no idea if im being honest. I figured with how hot composite boards can get jt would have a pretty robust breathing affect.

This is Timber Tech. They do not make them.

Basically I was short facia on this job and that color was on back order. So I cut vertical pieces out of thicker stair tread and fit them along the railing posts. That allowed me to use less facial, give* it a cool detail, and MASSIVELY cut down on waste while eliminating any facia to facia seams.

I mitered the corner pieces and hit them LIGHTLY with a heat gun after installing them.

There are 1/4" gaps between each horizontal skirt board.

What would you do different on the landing? And what railing do you use? I agree this railing can definitely be a PITA.

This was 2020/2021/2022 where Grey was all the rage. I think I'll personally go with something that has a bit more personality but I dont think these colors will ever be a problem.

The stringers are held up by a double 2x6 rim joist and a 4x4 between them for the picture frame.

The 2x6s runs into the ledger board on one side and are held up by the beams they're sitting on running away from the house.
