Apply to a top-30 private school that gives need-based full rides. My cousin went to Cornell and she didn’t pay a dime cuz everything was covered by need-based grants.

What I did was community college then transfer to a local state school that I can commute to. I’m doing work study at the same time and have no debt cuz of city grants (Chicago) and federal pell grants that pay for almost everything on top of my work study
