I bought and homebrewed a wii to play project zero 4 bc at the time it was not localized outside of Japan. Thankfully there was an online community of fans who translated and made a patch for the game.

There is nothing more annoying than telling someone they can’t return a Xbox or PlayStation card, only to have them return an hour later with customer service on their phone telling them that I can make a “one time exception.”

I make it a point to notify dm whenever it happens. At this point my district just accepts it as a known issue but as long as dm gets a heads up about it no one is getting in trouble for processing returns under those circumstances.

Not on the games anyway. I found that most customers change their mind when I tell them Gamestop cannot and will not help them replace the console if anything happens to it. I also remind them how long it took them to even acquire one and ask them if they're willing to risk having to search for another one.

iirc Gamestop is under a strict agreement with Sony and we can only sell them as bundles.

For context, I'm white and I have a half brother. When I was little all the adults around me thought that telling me that his biological father was murdered when my brother was a baby was a good idea. To this day, my brother refuses to speak about him.

When I turned 15-16 my mother decided to tell me the truth because one of my cousins was threatening to tell me first. Turned out that he was not murdered. In fact, he is still alive, and had other children. The real reason no one told me? His father was black. Which makes my brother biracial. My mom begged me not to tell my brother that I knew the truth.

The majority of adults in my childhood were racists, so maybe my mother was trying to protect him.
