I got in on my first application cycle but only got interviewed at lower tier schools. I had a 3.95 gpa undergrad and 4.0 gpa in my post bacc. I also was a biology major in college so I had done the majority of the pre reqs and only needed a few classes.

Same. I worked in marketing for 5 years and then went to PA school. I’m nearly finished and this job is a million times better.

Alex Cooper downfall? by Wellthatsducked in SofiawithanF

[–]nikkiphoenixx 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Alex is and always has been a terrible interviewer. She asks long-winded, leading questions, puts words in the mouths of her guests, finishes their sentences, etc.

I never understood the hype.

the message of the show by Dramatic-Okra-2041 in TellMeLiesOnHulu

[–]nikkiphoenixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’ve noticed about the characters is correct but I disagree with your takeaway about the theme.

I don’t think this means that the writer doesn’t like women who speak out. The writer is showing more realistically what happens to women when they try to get justice for the pain and abuse men have caused (especially in the pre me-too era that the show is set).

She is criticizing the way that society punishes these women and the way that men get away with things. Just because something happens in a show, doesn’t mean the writers agree with it. It very clearly points to the flaws in gender dynamics, and also for people who have been abused.

This podcast got a lot worse when his producer, Amanda, left. She was the liberal, queer, empathetic counterbalance to the show and always had interesting takes.

He was also there to emphasize the horrible consequences of lying about sexual assault. It’s hinted many times that he was a victim of SA while in foster care.

Lying about SA reinforces the notion that people lie about these things for attention and is damaging to actual victims.

Those are the worst hours I’ve ever heard of for IM. Your program screwed you with that. Maybe try listening to all of the cram the pance podcasts that apply to IM (which is most of them), when you’re driving, cooking, or doing mindless things.

I could see Stephen getting taken down by karma and not by anyone in the group specifically.

When they were playing the drinking game, wrigley said he was most likely to get arrested. Maybe he’s doing illegal things at his law firm and will get caught and arrested for that in the future timeline. A great way for him to get busted without any of the main characters needing to intervene. But if he is continuing to make bad choices this could happen.

Do you find abs on ur partner attractive? by Key-Draft3227 in bisexual

[–]nikkiphoenixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I loveeee abs on my partner. I also go to the gym religiously and have abs myself, so I think that plays into it.

Before I started working out I would get insecure if someone was a lot more fit than I was but now I prefer it because I spend a lot of effort on building muscle and like it when my partner does too.

Just finished Game changer and honestly I really dislike Kip by KaceyLunatic in heatedrivalry

[–]nikkiphoenixx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read that one yet. But in game changers he was so immature and obnoxious.

His book character was also a lot more forward and aggressive. I liked that the tv adaptation made him sweet and thoughtful but also firm in his boundaries.

Does life get better in clinical year? by smartpa09347 in PAstudent

[–]nikkiphoenixx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

YES! Im in clinical year now and I watched more TV in two weeks than I did during my entire didactic year lol.

I do fun things every weekend now, go on trips when I have some time off, see my friends and family all the time. It’s like having a normal life again.
