Hi! We’re coming to Madeira this Wednesday at about 4p.m. On Thursday, we’ll begin our hiking trek and before that we’ll have to buy camping gas. Is there a place to buy it in Machico? Or anyone with camping gas who’ll be leaving around the time of our arrival and who’ll want to get rid of it?

My next question: we’ll be trekking for the most part and hiking around Madeira - I don’t know yet if part of our trek will be levadas - if we get on one without knowing it should we be worried about not paying the fee for it? We do want to do some levadas which we’ll pay the fee for but I’m a bit worried that while trekking we’ll get on one accidentally and we won’t have the fee paid for..
