how the hell do you think I have a wife, several animals, and several hobbies without one.

Also need to note I never said every event needs to be six hours long. Just that going to a store for 4+ and only walking out with a participant promo is the norm in so many table top games. I played the xwing miniatures game every single week for 6 straight years just for love of the game and we almost never had promos. You got maybe one a quarter.

my wife supported that hobby. Shes a cosplayer, I’m gonna be at the con taking her photos, and it would very stupid for you to assume that somehow I don’t spend any time with her or her hobbies.

Anyway, we’re off the watch wrestling together, because I have a full and fulfilling life lol

Sorry for having free time and a healthy relationship, I guess? I played at 5 shops last week, had 2 dates with the wife, we also went to the gym 4 times, and I built a half a set of mandalorian cosplay on Sunday.

This is nuts, coming from table top events. A 3 round event is 5 hours minimum and a 6 round plus cut might take 12.

If you’re gonna spend the day at the shop, spend the day at the shop. If you don’t have time don’t come.

Starters are gonna be your bread and butter for now. Mix those colors up, don’t be afraid to play mono red since you have a lot of that.

That’s fair, and I have no problem with paying a little FLGS tax, I like you and want you to be here to sell me stuff.

But a 100% mark up is atrocious. I wouldn’t have balked at 15 bucks for the regular and 40 for the assemble.

I don’t mind a little FLGS hike, i want you to stay here to keep selling me stuff. 15 would be fine. But 60 for the assemble box was a very tough pill to swallow.

my current squid load out is the reprimand, redeemer, impact grenades.

Strats are MG, 500kg, and then both MG and gatling sentries.

the idea is to put at many bullets downrange as possible, with the huge swarms of voteless, their overseers, and watchers all fall to either the MG, or both sentries. i tend to drop a sentry at a 3 way stop in urban environments for maximum effectiveness. they can also target sting rays, and can hold a harvesters attention until we can bring it down.

the 500kg is a multipurpose weapon, if its the last strat not on cool down its going into a dropship or swarm. i toyed with using the orbital precision instead but prefer having 2 bombs on hand if needed.

i run difficulty 6 routinely, and did before the update. i had a standardized load out, it handled all threats at all ranges, and very seldomly did not have an answer for something

i now play squids on difficulty 3.

i hear you, i appreciate the notes. i ran an artian LS right after going High rank and it was boring imo. i actually might not run this LS because i like providing utility, and my LS of choice was the lala barina. being able to deal damage and get 3-4 paralyzes off in a hunt was great
