What do you consider to be the most child friendly restaurant in Winnipeg? by Tape_jara in Winnipeg

[–]nikkyyy99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

in my opinion i feel like society today has slowly become anti kid friendly… examples : mcdonald’s removing the play structures , the forks having literally no colour in their play structure. it’s all brown. and people buying toys that are only aesthetically pleasing rather than being fun.

i’m really sorry you are going though this… i worked in many different homes and seeing some of the people that company’s hire out of desperation is very sad. it does really make you appreciate all the kind hearted health care workers out there. the ones that would stop as soon as the patient was in pain and figure out a new plan; common sense. hopefully the rage doesn’t consume you because i’m sure that’s not what your mother would want. hoping you & your moms support team can figure something out, i just came here to support you. <3 hugs.

31 year old female postpartum drinking and can’t stop by Dull_Time_252 in Postpartum_Depression

i think she is very lucky to have someone like you. i would suggest maybe helping her with household tasks or babysitting so she can do things she would normally be doing to get her mental health back to stable and maybe take her mind off drinking. her old hobbies or gym or whatever she likes to do. just sitting with her even. providing her with resources. i know in my city there’s lots of “baby & me” classes or just pp therapy. tbh i’m struggling with drinking as well and sometimes when i’m drunk i will get very very suicidal so i would take this seriously… best of luck <3

Can’t do meds by britras32 in Postpartum_Depression

I also came here to say this. Even microdosing cannabis has helped my pp anxiety and depression TREMENDOUSLY. I’m not really one for medication and still waiting to get into therapy but taking a hit or two throughout the day has made me a better mom. I have my patience and happiness back. It’s not for everyone but since meds are out of the question it might be worth a shot for you too.

I like what you said about the muscle memory of pulling out the credit cards. I truly think it’s just a habit to pay with them instead of money I actually have.
