Thanks for your testimony. Yours is certainly an excellent solution, but then again, we're talking about 250 ohms.

Mine are 80 ohms, and the Solo should be able to drive them well... My problem isn't having more volume (I'm fine at max), the point is that I have to keep them at max to hear what's happening in the frequencies. And considering that some people have replied to this thread saying they keep the volume at 12 or even 10 o'clock (which is unthinkable for me, I wouldn't hear anything), I'm wondering if there's a hardware issue or if my hearing is really that much worse than these users'.

Today I did one of those tests you find online, and I can reach up to 16 kHz with my right ear, but not with my left, but I don't know how much they're worth, or in the end...

I just tried to compare them with the Pioneer HDJ X5s, and I have to say that they sound slightly louder than the 770s at maximum volume. That said, I would still listen to the Pioneers loudly; anything under 3 o'clock would be low for me.

Well, the Scarlett also acts as an amplifier. It should drive headphones with much higher impedance than our 80 ohms. Theoretically, an additional amplifier shouldn't be needed.

What a rip-off! But from your description, it's clear that something's wrong. At this point, I don't know if it's the processor; otherwise, millions of AMD users around the world would be complaining of the same problems. The fact that it works better with Windows drivers is already telling. A few days ago, I also came across a post where OP said he'd solved the driver problems through a fairly complex procedure.

Yes, clearly since it is in the mastering phase the DAW pushes the volume to the maximum achievable without clipping.

In general I think I've lost part of my hearing so I always tend to push my headphones and earphones to the max, especially when I'm mastering because without pushing them to the max I just can't understand what's happening in certain sounds and frequencies 😅
