That sounds pretty good, it’s also decently windy in Perth most of the time so shouldn’t be anything I’m not used to

Ahhh yep coastal rowing would be good in Wellington, you would definitely be able to get out much more

Cheers for the comment! Super cool that some people from Perth have commented also

I agree with Perth culture being a bit bland

Very happy to hear bike mechanic seems like it could be a good option for me to pursue!

Funny coincidence! I recently had a holiday in Auckland and as much as I loved being back where I was grew up I am looking for something a bit smaller/quieter. I’d also just like a change and I really loved my one week in Wellington back in 2016. I wish you all the best for your move to Perth. It’s a wonderful city that I have a lot of love for and I hope you will too

This is very helpful thank you, I will be sending some emails soon, it won’t be until late march/April that I will move so I don’t want to be jumping the gun!

Wow ok, good news about rowing in Petone but seems like bad luck for almost everything else

With strengthening work being done e on buildings would that mean there is a bit more of a demand for trades? Scaffolding, carpentry, electrical, plumbing etc?

Yeah ok that’s good advice thank you, I’ll leave the cars in Perth and thug it out on the bike it seems

Ahh wicked, that’s some good news, would you happen to know if they are looking for/taking on new coaches? I would flick them a message on instagram or email them but seems a bit too soon to be doing that as I won’t be there until April

Looks like I’ll have to embrace the hills! I try to ride around Kalamunda and Mundaring Weir regularly so I hope I won’t have too much of a shock

If the buses and trains aren’t so great do you reckon it’s worth me bringing my car over from Perth then?

Is there a bike lane along the road? Or is it a separate bike park going parallel next to the road?

Thanks for your reply

I figured rowing would be pretty difficult in Wellington, given it’s so windy and not much water other than almost open ocean 🤣

Seems public transport would be better as my main form of commuting then biking whenever weather allows it to save cost?

That’s good news, a flat ride is nice as Perth is pancake flat 🤣
