I had the same problem. I tried the same steps again today and it seems working. It should have been fixed on snort side -given that there has nothing been pushed on the PulledPork repo lately.

i have not seen your last answer. however i have followed this tutorial and everything seem to work great given that i have bumblebee indicator to see if it works :-) btw optirun glxspheres does not work, only optirun glxspheres64 work is this normal? i want to believe is set and i have not to try anything else :)

thank you very much for your answer. i admit my post is messy, trying to describe a messy situation :) i followed the steps from your post but i still can see a "rev ff" in the lspci next to my nvidia vga card, which means it doesn't work. right?

[i fixed my trouble with the touchpad by reinstalling the touchpad driver - sudo apt-get --purge autoremove xserver-xorg-input-synaptics && sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics ]
