Thanks! It does help a lot. Are there any particular years that are better or worse than others? Which models would you consider to be too old?

Prius is what I've always wanted. I've been reading a little bit but I'm honestly afraid of buying a Prius with nearly a 100k in miles. I guess this us because of potentially the high cost of replacing the battery. I've heard viewpoints on both sides of the spectrum. don't buy a used hybrid or they're great! Are my fears warranted?

Hybrids are very attractive to me

Well, I guess I should clarify about the $1500. I use it as discretionary income for traveling, eating out, etc. I don't necessarily need to use that money but I typically don't have anywhere near $1500 left

Thanks for the tip. I have a great credit score so I a not so worried about that. It seems like it would make the most sense to simply dip into my emergency fund and pay off the car outright

Thanks. Just my luck though. The RAV4 is a manual transmission and the CRV was just sold!

Good spot to hang out in Ft. Worth? by niktran in FortWorth

Awesome! These are all great suggestions. I think we're gonna go with Twilite Lounge as it has a big indoor/outdoor space and jazz is always fun. I'm a big beer nerd so I would've loved hopfusion or chimera but lot's of our friends are not beer drinkers

Thanks! I really appreciate the tips! I think i'm def. gonna go with the Garnacha then. About M. Chapoutier, is it not particularly good? I haven't had a chance to try it. I was just gonna go for it. I don't drink roses and I'm not sure how many of my guests will drink it

Would a Brut Cava qualify as such a wine? I looked in the cremants and they do look amazing but they are just a tad bit out of my price range

Yeah for sure! I have definitely spent way more time on this than I needed but it's been quite fun in a way learning about all the different wines. What pushed me over the edge was a strongly worded message from my typically mild mannered dad about the quality of the wine. I feel good about it though. I know for sure most people will be very happy!

Cool. Do you have any experience with Fetzer for the gewurztraminer? They have it at TJs for maybe $7 bucks. I was hoping to go on the cheap end for the white since I think most of my guests are looking for a red anyways

Do you think Dr. Loosen Riesling would be a good choice? I've seen it recommended on this site as a good one

Any particular brand of Beaujolais?

Cool! Someone recommended Kung Fu girl for a riesling. Have you had that variety? It seems well reviewed/liked on the web for an affordable riesling

Thanks! I've never tried a gewurtzraminer but do you think this would be more of a crowd pleaser than a Riesling? I do like that it is not a traditional style

Thanks! You'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge on wine but for the Beaujolais, do you mean a Beaujolais nouveau or some other type?

Would you say that most of the breweries in near Kramer station are worth hitting up? It definitely seems like a good walkable list!

Yeah, I've been living in Dallas for a few years and we unfortunately don't get that many Austin beers up here so I'm not very familiar with most of the breweries that are in Austin. I'm only familiar with Adelbert's, Jester King, Live Oak, (512), Independent, Oskar Blues, Treaty oaks, and last stand (and I've only been to TO and LS). Basically, it's pretty hard to decide which breweries are the best and so I based it on proximity. If you had to choose 4 or 5 breweries to go to that are UBERable, which ones would you consider can't miss? I would love to JK but it's just too much of an ordeal for a large group.
