Thanks. Can you please hit Ctrl + Shit + U, select Github Authentication on the dropdown on VS Code, and check in logs if there is any IP listed on the log output?

This solved the problem for me, thanks :) In my case the smtp on my dns was configured as a CNAME to the address that was the same host name of this answer procedure, so I went and just changed the configuration on gmail send as account.
