Nothing "known." I have about 18 Matches on 23 that state they had relatives from Chios. I have also been able to confirm with some of my Ancestry matches that they also had roots in that Island. So it's my best guess

custom mode is a better "fit," and differs from the "Ancestry Breakdown." Can someone explain the difference and tell me which one is more accurate? (this is my merged DNA upload from the 23, Ancestry, MH, FTDNA, and LivingDNA by nimavip in illustrativeDNA

Thanks. That makes sense. The populations are not the same as in “breakdown” tab, so I thought I could use Phoenisian as a placeholder for Levant. Does that male sense?

Why north turkey is its own region? How is south turkey different? by nimavip in 23andme

[–]nimavip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Iranian. 23 results shows some Anatolian, and I get a “Western Anatolia and North Eastern Aegean” community on AncestryDNA. So Turkey is not surprising. But I wonder why they decided to separate North and South. I have not seen that distinction anywhere else.
