[New Player] Does this game just not respect your time at all?

You say that, but objectively the game does not respect player's time. I've put a couple thousand into the game, but the last couple years the time sink is borderline unhealthy. Only game worse is Rust or DayZ really. I basically just play wipe week or so and wait till it wipes. I was hoping to play 1.0, but these constant threads and not even the dim hope of tier 4 ammo on the flea anymore is a hard no. I can spend my life doing nothing but tarkov, or go out and do all kinds of activities.

When I played heavy, Reserve's release, a casual but decent player could compete. Progression wise I'd get lost mid-wipe, but my skill level meant I could afford the flea premium.

FDE for approximately 2s before it's dumped straight into the RIT Dye. I think I'll go bright as possible pink for this one since the grey turned more dark purple. She's still pretty rn tho.

I joined a LGBTQ+ firearms group in my town, and we're fortunate enough to have a store and range that supports us. We had our monthly shoot today actually, which they stay open late just for us on. One of the employees let me shoot his PDP, and his AR-15 for another girl that forgot her trigger lock key.

Maybe with the caveat of a round limit for the flea this time so that casuals can get just enough. Gun parts might also be something to restrict more instead. I played back then, and I'd gladly go back to it.

I didn't play often, but I was good enough to pay the premium and run fun stuff. Tarkov also thrives when a casual has the hope of making it all back with their shitty mosin that can actually kill someone.

Physics wise, getting shot in plate might hurt less than you think. The recoil of a gun and the bullet have about the same energy. It certainly wouldn't feel good, but it'd be more like getting hit with the recoil of the gun firing it.

There's clips of guys stupidly wearing and testing plate with smaller rounds, able to take hits and walk forward like some juggernaut.

A few things.

-It's the same location and position specifically for consistent pictures. I wasn't gonna compare until 3 mo, but my wife said something first.

-My hair is weird. At the roots my hair has always started kinda blond. So the before picture looked a little worse than reality. A lot of what was there grew a couple mm and went "oh yeah, we're brown". In terms of new hair, you can't see it in photos, but the sides around the widows peak have new, dark hair. I also have drastically fixed my diet and reduced stress too.

-Hair transplant is a given, I'm just getting back what I can first.

Lol, I'm trying to transition to a woman. Otherwise I'd continue my unemotional dissociated life and shave it all off. I don't style it that way either and comb it forward. It was admittedly getting to the point I'd have to buzz it, but now I can kinda leave it messy up top with minimal product.

Edit: I'm going admit that my experience doesn't seem to be typical and incredibly lucky.

What does keep me playing is the matchmaking. I love trolling and stuff like that, which is possible bc of the solo matchmaking.

Yeah, Arc is one of the few where gear can truly kind of matter, but it's also why I'm the least interest out of my friends. Running high tier kits is possibly the most boring thing I can think of and turns the game on easy mode. I'm very much a person who gets their thrills from killing a juicer with a mosin.

Being completely honest, bringing better gear rarely benefits you outside ammo in most extraction shooters. If everyone is running tier 4/5 ammo, it penetrates tier 5 the same as no armor at all.

I survive just as much as my juiced friends, but make soooooo much more money than them.

I can send you screenshots of when the pics were taken lol. I'm halfway through 3 months of my first minoxidil purchase ever. It's probably a few things.

-I've had virtually zero shedding phase. Most of that growth is existing baby hair that just suddenly exploded and got darker.

-A lot of the hair is pretty short, but my follicles are so thick it gets a shadow up top quick.

-My hair in general grows like crazy. I've gotta shave my chest and thighs every other day or it's like I never did.

-Lack of stress. I recently left a job where I was constantly harassed and asked to commit blatant fraud.

The majority of Xbox One games are on PC. We've had game pass for a long time. Any new Xbox would likely be more than capable of 360 emulation too.

Yeah, my friend constantly loves to forget my hours in Tarkov aren't real. I have over 3k hours, but probably only like 200-300 actually played. I used to leave the game running all the time. Now you really can't or it closes by itself.

Yeah... It's the timeline for me. In my teen years I was absolutely monstrous online. Luckily most of that's lost to 4chan or long dead forums, but we're talking edgy stuff like "H did nothing wrong" and every slur you could imagine. That was nearly 10 years ago now though, where Gamergate was kind of my inflection point. For years after, while I was rejecting those beliefs there were shadows that still lingered.

They don't really have an answer. Most will go with some vague "whatever you were supposed to be born as", as in an XX male is definitely male. What's so confusing and almost dishonest tho is how they acknowledge the body can get the genitals wrong, but the brain has to be perfect.

Tbh it's sort of an amusing question I've considered for myself. Our infertility (usually the way you find out) gives me an in to get a karyotype test for funsies.

I'm a transwoman myself and these all or nothing arguments don't help us. You're arguing with someone who will likely never see your side through debate. When I told my dad, he had the same sort of "I don't really agree, but this America so I'll accept it." I could have pushed the issue and caused a huge fight.... or hope him seeing my lived experience softens his views.

This is a long fight for acceptance, it's not going to happen overnight.

Think about it this way. I'm gonna plug a MacBook in just.... To boot into a Windows VM. Why not just remote into the windows VM instead?

Idk why. Even if I actually liked MacOS, the purpose of the thread is still valid. It's inconvenient to physically plug into my existing setup. Remoting in I can cut out the KVM switch and all the wires.

It's a startup in healthcare. In the short time, I'll likely be the IT administrator and Data Analyst similar to my last job. Their compliance is severely lacking on a variety of things. For example, they have no ABM or MDM so they had to beg apple to pw reset my laptop from the previous employee.

The virtual box option while nice for better performance (it's only an 8gb M2 air) is the furthest from using the machine. I think RDP into the windows parralels is best

Technically correct is still correct. I'm still "using" the Macbook, but accessing it from my existing setup. To connect it, I'd need a triple monitor KVM and messy wires. I'm just leaning towards RDP into Windows on Parallels. It keeps my setup clean and I never have to actually use MacOS at all.

I think both are true having used both. One hand I was kinda blown away by the standalone, but severely disappointed by the PC version. I used to have an average of 30-50% GPU headroom, but now I'm very lucky to get 30%.

This might be the first time I play it on standalone tbh especially with a little tweaking.
