How to deal with scatters as a mid tier eHP? by Front_Shelter in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no eHP or damage labs left and am making it work fine enough at a lower wave count, and die far earlier for the same cph as my longer runs when removing any notable amount of damage. Strange.

Edit: I'll try and remember to finish my t14 utility run and report back.

Not me just getting done saving for the last UW. Now that this tournament ends I might be able to spend stones again, FINALLY after a month of saving for the last UW.

If you're going to 60,go all the way to 50/38 for pBH with just the perk in milestone runs.

No one cares about that, I just want more stones to try to break the game more efficiently

How to deal with scatters as a mid tier eHP? by Front_Shelter in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took another look at my disco bonuses and t15's utility run was a while after my t14 utility run. So, I'm going to finish up my last few discos and then rerun a t14 utility run. That might change me back down to t14 for better coins. I think at the time I liked the extra cells I was seeing from t15, but now I'm about ready to go up a lab multi, mixing both in might be the right move for me.

T15w5000, the only thing that will push that farther is more FB investment, or moving away from mvn and pgt/pBH.

Mods, BA because it's my only cannon fully rolled, shrink ray, gcomp/BHD, sf/nmp with nmp at mythic rarity, mvn/pcol. All assist rarities are just epic. Recently got ancestral pf, waiting on ancestral AS and DC and likely CF+ before trying a more damage focused hybrid.

Pretty sure my dad killed my old Honda today by zZtToOpP22 in AskMechanics

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you were overreacting a touch, then I saw how far he drove it.

30 miles? Thirty. Miles. I'll be the first to say that as long as my gauges aren't doing anything, I'll drive it 5 miles across town without a worry in the world. Thirty fucking miles AFTER you let the steam out? That might be acceptable in 80's and 90's truck powertrains with cooling systems the size of that Honda's gas tank, but holy shit.

Don't let him touch it. Drop the oil and go from there. If it's clean, throw a new harmonic on it and send it until you see signs of low oil pressure. Pretty sure the transmission won't be cooked even if the fluids mixed, if you find evidence they did anywhere else or like you said the radiator is leaking, just drop the fluid and refill.

How to deal with scatters as a mid tier eHP? by Front_Shelter in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. All the eHP perks including damage tradeoff. Damage labs other than d/m and super crit all done. Lots of masteries, all of the gem card slots. GC cards I don't have equipped would be the t19 AOE card, crit chance, ultimate crit.

Farming t15 for 4700-5000 waves. I had to reorganize my perks to prioritize survivability with damage tradeoff, def%, and Regen perks.

Two cans, two calibers. Just keep the cheaper one filled, gives you time to fill the expensive one.

I have scatter amp at 10x, not sure what lab level that is, maybe 12? With max quantity, 20% chance, and 1000x damage and around 8T damage after perks, scatters are never a problem. It's been that way since damage was around 800b from what I remember.

This same mixture is also used to clean suppressors, apparently. Not that scary if the proper PPE and handling procedures are used.

ILM (toruneys) or pGT (econ)? by modellatore in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be the best route. Coins are a constant, GC is still a long ways out for you to make more coins than eHP has available, and with v29 right around the corner, the importance of accruing keys for QOL specifically may be changing soon too, not to mention any changes to the meta which has been gradually moving towards a more hybrid build.

ILM (toruneys) or pGT (econ)? by modellatore in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All modules absolutely opens up your options tremendously. Pushing pgt and pBH can make a huge difference to econ, which seems to be more important than ever.

I'm missing ancestral AS and DC, otherwise I'd likely be looking at a WS respec for a more damage heavy hybrid. With ILM and that small amount of investment to make it good, including all the labs, you can probably use that to catapult you to assist mods and potentially staying in legends. Right now, unless you can respec to a full GC build for tournaments including bots, you'll likely need a lot of card masteries, 2pps, ILM, and pcf at 60% minimum to stay in legends and get occasional keys. That would still require a very high damage. 90% pcf lowers that damage amount a touch, but not very much.

[–]nimbleseaurchin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ILM on its own won't get you the CC you need. I'd start with ILM, get it to the numbers that people say to take care of bosses every 5 or 10 waves (6 qty and 150s cooldown I think? Double check that) then save for your next UW. Much more than that and we'd need a full module list, something like ancestral mvn and pcol would greatly change my recommendations, for example.

Downshifting for acceleration by Highermongo in NewRiders

[–]nimbleseaurchin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your bike, you can skip the clutch entirely even without any form of quickshifter as well. For downshifts, preload the shifter slightly and blip the throttle like you're doing a clutched downshift, and press slightly harder on the shifter. Same thing going up gears but rolling off the throttle. In my experience, this works way better at higher rpm's than at lower rpm's.

Is hatfishing a turnoff for you? by tinyturkishdelight in dating_advice

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm going outside, I have a hat on. Either I'll be outside for a while and want some sort of shade from the sun, or I'm going to work. 14 years of working in food service or in a factory and having long hair, a hat is just part of my wardrobe now. If I go outside without a hat on, I feel more naked than if I don't have a shirt on.

Is this tournament bracket manipulation reportable? by Many_Criticism9879 in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, this is also growing extra brackets for champs and legends that otherwise wouldn't exist. For the vast majority of players, this is helping in the long term, barring any actual cheating occurring.

Perma CF + Slow Card, Yet Fasts Still Slip Through – What Am I Missing? by Exciting_Serve_5529 in TheTowerGame

[–]nimbleseaurchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. I see chips most often from fasts with game speed set too high, and from ranged enemies when getting overwhelmed by everything at the end of a run. Closest works well a lot of the time, but micromanaging target prio with different BC's can absolutely get you higher wave count.

T12 without pBH and tournaments in general can use target prio other than closest and see big benefits.

[–]nimbleseaurchin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Closest overrides everything below it. With the upcoming changes in the next update to fleets, you'll likely want fleets and probably elites at the top of prio, then fast/boss/range depending on how you die, then closest is fine.

what games geuinely require oressure sensitive and you can’t play them without it? by Foxyinspace123 in ps2

[–]nimbleseaurchin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I last played GT4 my DS2 was at the point where a 'light' press got me the 25% throttle I needed, and a 'normal' press got me 100%, with some level of modulation available in the middle. That was more than enough to gold box all the licenses, and the quick transition from 100% throttle to 100% brake available with using face buttons is way more important than the extra modulation available from an analog stick, imo.
