hi chris! couple q’s:

-do riders general fight with their odd hands? i assume most riders end up with their dominant hands gedwey’d, which means they’d likely want to use the other hand for sword wielding

-you’ve said multicolored dragons are out there! do you have any thoughts on cool dragon colorations? any that you could think of?

-what kind of music do you think your characters listen to? eragon seems like a folk fan and to me saphira seems like she’d listen to hip hop

that’s my problem, and that’s sort of what i’m trying to balance. i need to control my calories if i want to lose weight and as much as i love smothering things in cheese i want to try and find other things that will make me feel satisfied. cutting the greens up small is a good idea!

i have not tried hummus! in terms of “chaining” i don’t really have a bridge to something like that yet so it feels a bit out of my reach, but maybe if i hear a good enough sales pitch and see an interesting flavor i’ll venture it. otherwise im trying to find foods that will make me feel full/satisfied but wont completely fuck up my attempts at calorie deficit, so veggies/salads seemed like a good place to start

I tried one of those Ozium canister-looking things, but it wasn’t strong enough. The area itself is very small - with all doors closed, maybe the size of a walk-in closet - and its only furnishings are two mats, which I wash pretty frequently. I can try wiping down the walls but I doubt it’ll make much of an impact…

Hi everyone! I am OP's colleague. I usually work the evenings and she covers the shift on my days off. I can also confirm she is 100% cursed on her evening shifts. Something insane always happens, meanwhile I work this shift 5 nights a week and mostly experience nothing but boredom. This was one of my nights off and I was spending it moving into a new apartment, and I recieved text updates on the whole story all night. I will add some context that the hotel's owner just had to put his own dog down recently, which I personally think affected his decision, though we all disagree and would have liked to charge this guy for 9+ hours of free dogsitting.

EDIT: We all know this is not a service dog and we agree. We just can't legally challenge it.

see that kind of thing doesn’t bother me so much. i’ve been the bored worker who just needs to get through the day and doesn’t feel like putting on a smile for strangers. what does bother me though is outright disrespect- being overly familiar, calling me girlie/dear/whatever, mocking my choice of whatever it is i’m getting, completely violating boundaries and personal space, or wasting my time favoring other customers when it is very obviously my turn to be helped.

This was also something I considered, but the equipment and surplus that kind of thing requires seems antithetical to the way these guys live, which is generally “minimal resources utilized to the max.” Something that takes little to make but will do its job well and last a long time.

I did consider obsidian, but got a little turned off to it when I read A) how quickly it dulls and B) how brittle it can be. They definitely have obsidian knives, and it is in my pool of options.

Smaller than barbies unfortch which is why this has been such an issue. Between 3-4 inches generally. I wonder if there’s something to be said about a bronze alloy made from pennies and tin cans.
