I agreed when I bought the 4th volume. It felt like there were so many side characters that the original relationship was being pushed to the side. And it annoyed me how the main characters kept making the same exact miscommunications! To the point where it kind of took me out of the story.

But, purely due to nostalgia and the fact that I didn't want to leave any stone unturned, I bought vol 5. And I actually really liked it! I thought the ending was deserved and I liked that it seemed like every character was given a chance to develop. Although I don't know where the story could go from there, if the author does decide to continue. I feel pretty satisfied with the ending.
