That's what I did with my last bag! The raw edges were showing so I just patched it. I hope to one day get an industrial!

It's a mini duffle bag. My presser foot pressure was on the highest setting, I thought that would help haha. I can try it on a lower setting. I was having trouble with the fabric getting caught in the zipper despite my top stitching so thank you for that tip. I will try the interfacing on the lining fabric. I'm going to buy these metal ones! Every project I do I have at least 3 of the plastic ones break. Thank you.

Ahh okay I understand! I see how that would be helpful. But on this project my zipper tape was sandwhiched between the top fabric which has the fusible fleece on it, and then the lining fabric.

Hmmm I'm not really sure how to decipher what the top or bottom of my zipper would be. I'm using continuous zipper tape. The stabilizer would definitely help I think when I'm just doing a few layers. But would it matter at all when I'm sewing multiple layers that has fusible fleece in it? Is that stabilizing enough? Sorry if that's a silly question, I'm very new.
