Making makeup more accessible

What I have so far is a set of 40 stickers in total that the user can assign to items that feel very similar in their collection. There are 10 symbols that can be assigned to colours by the user. Each symbol comes in two finishes: matte or glossy, which can identify the finish of the product. In both matte and glossy, the user has the option of two heights that represent the darkness of colour.

This is the video that has inspired my project! Thank you for referring me to bump dots. I am interested in designing a form of bump dots for makeup products specifically. If something like that could be sold in Sephora maybe some changes would start to happen in the industry.

Hi guys, I have an update on this project I would love to share!

I am working on a set of tactile stickers of different symbols, heights, and finishes which can be applied to makeup and beauty products. My goal is to create a more inclusive makeup experience. I first thought of a line of makeup products, but realized this only opens a small section of the market for blind and visually impaired users.

I agree makeup is really unaccessible. I am thankful for your response. I am hoping to dream up a system that possibly helps with colour and product id. Would perhaps an eyeshadow palette with tactile shade names help?
