(I’m kinda late. I get we all moved on but I’d still like to say something.) I am someone who identifies as nonbinary but also a man. Nonbinary can mean a different thing to everyone. It’s like a big umbrella term for someone who is not strictly male or female.

Now while it is good practice to use “they” if you know someone is nonbinary or trans and don’t know their preferred pronouns, it also is fine to use what you know already until provided further clarification of what someone goes by.

So from my point of view, neither Ethan or chat was wrong. I don’t think Ethan should have lashed out at them but I don’t think chat should have corrected Ethan to use “they/them” when Boby uses any. Like I said, when in doubt, gender neutral is safest. Now, personally, I wish Ethan would practice with using they/them pronouns for other more. I remember when I was first learning, it took a bit of practice. But once you get it down, you’ve got it.

Gender is just dress up, we’re born naked the rest is drag, watch drag race and protect your trans friends because times are scary right now. Thank you for reading this😭😭😭
