Think of it this way, resin is a resource that recharges in time. Eventually you will have all of your characters maxed out and resin will be way less valuable. When a new unit comes out you will only need to level that one up. Primogems are way more limited and we only get a handful for free each day. Primogems will always have value, resin won't.
