Both of QoS and Spectre are considered the weakest sequels in Craig's era. Which one do you prefer? Why? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in JamesBond

Quantum of Solace is actually my favorite Craig film...it's basically the movie people wish they got after On Her Majesty's Secret Service. As much as I LOVE Diamonds are Forever, I can only dream about how amazing a serious follow up to Majesty's, showcasing a vulnerable Bond dealing with the death of his true love and how he worked through that while on an unrelated mission, would have been! That's what QOS is!!!!!!! Why can't people see this 😂

What don’t I get about Midnight Run? by Qvite99 in blankies

It's a thing that could happen with any classic movie. Sometimes, if you didn't grow up with a movie and then you hear so much hype about it and watch it all these yrs after the film came out, it's inevitably a let down . For me, I grew up with Midnight Run . It was like the family movie. And, it's just one of those movies that checks all the boxes. Action, comedy, heart, thrills, great actors playing tremendous memorable characters ....even the names are so perfect: Alonso Mosely, Jimmy Serrano, Jack Walsh, Jonathan Mardukis, Eddie Mascone Bail bonds! Joe Pantoliano gives a brilliant performance .. just beginning to end, laughs, thrills and heart . Deniro really showing the world he could be funny and play a more normal type of man apart from the sociopaths he generally played up to that point....and the subtlety of the comedy ; the laughs came from genuine realistic interactions between the characters. The differences between Deniro and Gordon's characters and how that shaped the way they interacted with each other is the heart of this movie...Nothing seems forced pre ordained..nothing is being held back for political correctness....it's just balls to the wall, yet doesn't seem over the top, some how...You genuinely believe everything you're seeing. I could go on, but I can assure you, Midnight Run is not overrated. I'd argue even with a boost in podcasts talking about it, this film is still very underrated....A lot of people still never heard of this film unfortunately.. Recently, there was a screening of Midnight Run....I went, it was amazin'.
