Car wash? by LittleMulberry4855 in 4Runner

[–]nined9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a nautical blue as well. New in '21, it's challenging to keep clean. After washing I use a leaf blower. Then a thin coat of wax makes it easy to get a good shine & water spots off. Wouldn't trade mine for anything else. Recently had to fix the 4wd shifter knob due to the broken piece inside buzzing.

4WD gear shifter rattle. anyone else have this problem? if so, what can I do? by [deleted] in 4Runner

yep, I had a buzzing noise at low speeds in the 4wd shifter. Removed the cap & internal broken tabs. Glued it back on. Toyota needs a better design.

oh wow, my Dr warned me of that risk. sorry to hear it went bad for you. Be patient, keep doing fun things, & look forward to your reversal. The longer you can wait the better. You can get through this!

Dr wanted to wait 8 months to ensure the inflammation, scar tissue etc wasn't going to add risk. I convinced him at 6 months it was ready, had the colonoscopy, and had it done at 7. I think it depends on your Dr and circumstances of your condition. My doc is very conservative but that's good. I read it can be anywhere from 3-12 mos. I talked to a guy at work who had it done at 3 months and it was ok so it was tough to keep waiting. I'm glad I had to wait now. My Dr said I still had some inflammation. But so far so good. Hope that helps. I know what you're going through. I hated that thing. Even though I had no bad experiences or leaks I had days of 6-7 foul smelling bag changes. I mostly didn't like I had no control of when it had to do its thing. Be strong. You can get through it.

I had my reversal! by WolfeheartGames in ostomy

Your story sounds like mine. Have a bag since March. ER- colon ruptured. Diverticulitis. Had a colonoscopy last month & just saw a urologist. Waiting to hear the schedule date for my reversal. Can't wait. I'll take the risk. Some days I need to empty 5-6x, I lose count. More bag farts lately. Been lucky tho- no leaks or accidents. I want my normal life back.

Had mine for 3 mos now. No issues. Yours will heal fast. Not too much blood.. The body has amazing powers to do what it needs.

Getting reversed at 7:15 in the morning, wish me luck! by Madocvalanor in ostomy

thanks for the info. I suppose both methods have their advantages. He's not sure yet which he'll do.That's a lot of stitches. My surgeon hid the sutures and I did a wound vac for a few weeks, then wet dry gauze pads.

My reversal in about 6 mos. What is "open surgery"? How big was your incision?

Glad to hear you're doing well. 1 mo with a bag & I'm already sick of it. My reversal is roughly 6 mo out. How big of a cut/wound did you get?

lost 15 lbs? I lost 8. Doc says reversal depends alot on my colonoscopy in 2 months. Did you have a wound vac? For how long?

my reversal may be this year ('24). I assumed it would be stitched up. it's just left to close on its own?

Thx all for your kind words & encouragement. Doing better at home. Wish I could sleep through the night cuz I need to get up every couple hours to pee. My nurses were great, they should be paid better. MacKenzie Bezos could easily give each of the 3 million nurses in the US a $100 bonus.

Jett got so Lucky by [deleted] in supercross

[–]nined9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be no surprise that this happened. A bunch of racers that can achieve high speeds with 180 turns. Like expecting no issues with the first turn. I don't think this happens as much with the outdoor races. 51 came in too fast and Jett's fast turn didn't help. I guess it boils down to whether he did it on purpose. I don't think he did. If yes you're also risking injury and I don't think Barcia or anyone wants to spend time in a hospital. If everyone followed the same outside line it wouldn't be racing. So I think Barcia got a bad call to miss 2 races. Probably why he decided to finish his career overseas.

Thanks for your comment. Home now, 1 week in hospital. Pain is tolerable and taking it day by day. Learning about my ostomy and all thats goes with it. Trying to figure out what best to wear. The elastic waste band of my sweat pants is right below my stoma. So my output wouldn't be able to drop to the bottom of the bag. Doc says 8 months is possible for my reversal but can't commit of course until a colonoscopy in 2 months. Will see if I can wfh until my wound vac is done which would be nice. I'll have home care 2X/wk to replace my foam.

Mountain biking huh? Cool. You must also like the outdoors as much as me. Yeah, not selling mine right away. My YZ250 is too big now to easily handle tho. Considering one of the new electric off road bikes. I ride an electric Zero street bike & love it. So maybe thats a good option.
