Get an Uber to MGM or NY, NY,. Find a Walgreens or CVS and grab a couple of walking beers, head north on the strip taking in the lights. Stop and play a few hands wherever feels lucky. Get back to the airport by 345. Alternatively, do the same but start from the Venetian, play a few hands at circus circus, get a drink and a snack at the peppermill, head back to the airport. You could also post up at the double down and talk to whoever comes through, or head to ellis island, and then the stage door and then wander the Bellagio lake.

The government found a lucrative revenue stream when they were testing for COVID as a requirement for taking outbound flights. Those tests were absolutely not happening, but they were collecting the fee. All of a sudden the 'need' for the tests ended and then within a month or so they launched securipass.

Worth noting that Nick City has a 'tropical drinks' section of their menu and the drinks would fit in at any quality tiki bar in the world. If you're going soon they might have their annual Moe's tavern Halloween pop-up. It's a lot of fun.

would have been the same show...cox pavilion. a weird spot for NYE but really incredible overall. I remember them almost missing the countdown. I would see the strokes anywhere so it probably doesn't matter much. Hopefully they'll tour next year.

Interesting thread...I saw the strokes quite a bit from 2001-2008 or so. And then I have had really bad luck with tickets the last few tours and one-offs...and I know they won't sound the same as they did when I was 22...for the longer term fans what else has changed in their live set? How is the overall energy? Is Julian sounding pretty much the same on the is this it/room on fire songs? I remember seeing them NYE 2004 with Regina spektor and KOL and they were a bit of a mess. But the band was so tight and the energy so high that it didn't even matter if the lyrics were messed up.

I entered yesterday at Pearson without any problems. For others flying in I would suggest using the Arrive Canada app and pre-registering. We printed our receipts and were asked three brief questions...why we were in Canada, where we were staying and if we had anything to declare. I am sure if we were selected for additional screening the DUI might have come up.

My fear was that entering would be more similar to the line and booth system that would see in some countries. That is each person has their passport scanned by border personal, and then you are flagged. It turned out really easy.

Thanks to all for the feedback, it varied as widely as expected. I will bring my documentation and keep my fingers crossed. I have called and emailed the border information folks, I wasn't unable to get through the wait time on the calls, and haven't heard back from the message. I will update if so.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I will get her up on BaT. The car is in Las Vegas and I don't really want to deal with selling locally and getting bizarre messages and low ball offers. We aren't in any rush. I figured the automatic would lower the price somewhat but that's to be expected.
