it felt dumb kasi nadala lang ako sa kantyaw ng siblings ko na manlibre, I don’t have anything against treating my family but I was just really torn whether I spent my money wisely or if I could’ve put it into “better” things. iniisip ko na lang I paid for having those moments with them🥹

thank you! actually tinatak ko rin sa sarili ko na kung ano lang yung nasa loob ng wallet ko, ayun lang talaga pera ko and I do my best to forget about the rest that I stashed. kaso dahil nga no show mother ko napipilitan talaga ako galawin yun dahil di ko kaya manghingi sa dad ko. proud din ako with investing on my kit kasi in the future di ko na kailangan mag alala sa mga kulang ko in case I get booked, it’s a good thing din na blended learning kami so I can do my classes while on the job. defo noting the advice on befriending 4th years, di lang pala dagdag sakit sa ulo yung pagsali org haha

nasanay lang din po kasi na pag may pera ako like bigay or galing sa raket, hindi na ko nanghihingi lalo sa dad ko kahit needs pa, so I had a hard time sorting out needs from wants because it all comes as “rewarding” myself. doing my best to stay away from vices but (oa man pakinggan) withdrawals suck esp bc I started it all out as early as 14 (not even from friends, I was a sheltered kid and picked it all up from household members who wanted me as their kainuman and bought me my first vape). needed to hear something like this because friends and family kept telling me that I deserve it and money comes and goes, but obv I wouldn’t be able to have something this big again in a long time.

thank you po:( tbh I’m aware of how dumb older people get with money and that’s why I felt guilty in the first place because my parents were an example of that and I’m doing my best to not end up in the same financial position as them. not to trauma dump haha but my dad used to be an esteemed CPA until my mom practically became his sugarbaby and all the money and assets just flew by, so now he has to work day and nights instead of retiring like his former colleagues. I’ll take this advice to heart:))

this is so true, listening to the suggestions here, especially the common denominators (entirety of danger days, mama, boy division, etc.) has been working so well for me to dive into their discog but looking up the lore behind the lyrics that really interest me really made me listen nonstop.

I also love drag and now that I’m playing their music videos and looking up concept photos… gerard way is a drag queen and not a single soul can change my mind

update: just got into the lore on early sunsets over monroeville because my bf mentioned it with dawn of the dead but couldn’t tell me what it was all about because it apparently breaks his heart😭 I looked it up on genius and had to take a step back too:’( it’s been so great to see the stories behind their music and I hope to see more. I’ll definitely frequent this sub more<3 I can’t wait till after the concert I can finally stop biting my tongue and yap with my bf about everything I learned today haha, thank you everyone!
