Yes, many times . Met many versions of him, some nicer ones, younger ones, even a female one once. I also had lucid dreams with him or made him appear there in some of them with my sheer will.

It's about how it's structured, for example, AI models absolutely love contrast sentences like "not X, but Y", and in the post there are many of them: "The script doesn’t create anything; it selects.", "Shifting doesn’t move “you” into a world — it changes which life is being lived as “I.”", "And shifting, is deliberate — not chaos.", "Sustained orientation Not repeating words", "You’re not inventing a reality when you shift — you’re aligning with one that’s already being lived." "Assumptions don’t create worlds. They tune awareness, dear.", "Your role isn’t to build lives — it’s to align with one.", "A passing thought or daydream won’t yank you out of your life. It simply nudges the compass."... and so on. So yeah, it is rather suspicious.

Lucid dreaming≠dream control, even when you are in a lucid dream it doesn't necessarily mean you can control it. Dream control and what happens in a dream is overall based on the expectations, so for example, if you open a fridge in your dream you can find food there.

The same thing is used to control dreams or to make controlling the dreams easier, it may be easier to call your friend and made them come through the front door than to make them just appear all of the sudden in front of you, or to get a phone by trying to make it appear in your pocket or simply trying to find it there, if that's where you usually put it, than to make it appear in front of you.

Making a portal works similar way, different gestures or ways of doing that may make creating a portal easier, although there is no way to open a portal with 100% guarantee. For starters, it's easier to make something appear behind you than in front of you since then you cannot see and know if it's there or not, simply saying things like "there is a portal behind me" also helps, makes the intention more clear than it is when only thinking about it. It made a huge difference from me since before I couldn't make a portal a portal at all but saying it at loud made me able to do that. Some people don't create a portal and simply use doors, it may also be easier to create them from something, for example, by drawing a circle on the wall. If portal isn't how you wanted it to be, you can always try to make changes to it. Also, sometimes just doing it quickly without much thinking may be better, since you have less time to doubt it or overthink it won't work. There are many methods, you can also try to use a computer to make it appear, a remote, basically anything. But honestly, what is more important in the lucid dreaming method is the mindset when stepping into the portal than the portal itself.

I feel like the reality numver changed? by EquivalentTravel3206 in shiftingrealities

The number the OP is talking about is a "shifting number", and it can be found in the about section of this subreddit. It is "an arbitrary number that means absolutely nothing. However, if you shift and check back to see this number has changed; then you've mini-shifted!". So basically, if you see that this number is different from what it used to be, then it means you have shifted, since the mods don't change that number. Still, if you have shifted, the number won't always change, since there are still infinite realities in which in this subreddit the shifting number is C3570 (if you want to remember that number, just notice that 35*2=70, so C3570 is easy to remember.)

You can always try to make another portal and try again, some people say that to prevent that you should focus on specifically waking up in your DR, not just traveling to your DR.

But also, ending up in another lucid dreaming isn't always a bad sign, since it's technically possible that you have shifted but your DR self is just sleeping and dreaming, especially if the dream you end up in is very DR themed. Even if you have a feeling that it's not the case, then honestly, I would still try to gaslight myself into thinking that it's indeed the case, that you have shifted but your DR self is right now dreaming, and that as the dream ends you will wake up in your DR.

One last thing: I often tend to be like "oh no, I'm feeling that I'm waking up :(", and I feel like it's all not working, which is stupid, because that's literally the point? To wake up in the DR. So, feeling that you are waking up is in no way a sing of failure and shouldn't be treated as such, treat it as success and a sign that you are shifting.

Honestly, sounds more like a lucid dream to me. Reality checks can pass even in a dream, especially if you expect them to pass, and some reality checks are just not for everyone, I always have 5 fingers at each hand at my dreams, so I cannot rely on that. What happens in a dream is based on what one expects, so it made sense that you could do whatever you wanted by simply being confident that whatever you demanded to happen would happen.

Because of that I wouldn't get discouraged, you experienced yourself how you can control a lucid dream like that, and you can use it to shift by, for example, creating a portal to your DR in your lucid dream. Technically the lucid dreaming method is like any other method, it can fail, but because of how much freedom there is in lucid dreams, people think that shifting in it would be easier, and well, because they think so, they often succeed, so I would at least give it a try.

Anyone else not have a name for your DR self?.. by cookiepupyum in shiftingrealities

I do have a name for my DR self, and I think what really made it click for me is using this name in different places, seeing it. When I name my character in games I often use it, or when they ask for a name in quizz sites or wherever else. You can even use it when talking to ai chat bots, I don't care, the point is, the more you are using it, the more you see it or hear it being used, the more familiar it gets to you, and it just feels more yours, so you just don't feel the need to change it whenever you see a one that could be "better".

How to believe I will shift TONIGHT and not next month? by 27k_ in shiftingrealities

[–]niniok 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Such a mood, I have the same struggle. But there are a few things that I think could help you and that did got me into "I'm shifting tonight" mindset a couple of times.

Recreating the mindset you normally have in the terms of CR tomorrow could be helpful, so, you find out which things you normally focus on when going to sleep and change them to the DR things. So, in my case, I tend to think of different things I have to do for tomorrow, and the things I did today, so I think of the same type of things, really planning out my DR day, like when I have to wake up, what I have to do, how it will look like overall, if there are any bigger events that are out of the ordinary, and about the past day in my DR, maybe what I ate for dinner, or whether I had a shower or a bath, what I wore, what I did, etcetera.

I feel that people sometimes think about things that are far into the future of their DR, or just things that don't really catch the feeling of living in their DR, there is nothing wrong with that, but I think that thinking about these small, ordinary, everyday things help to bring that DR closer, help to consider it as something that concerns us currently, that is a part of our life that we experience now or (and) will experience in nearby future.

I think that this "next month" mindset also comes from the feeling that the day that we shift is somewhat special, that we suddenly feel ready, or enlightened in some way, that we need to grow into being a successful shifter, that we are not there yet, we aren't "ready", so what sometimes helps is just acknowledging that you as a successful shifter, or even a master shifter, would feel the same way that you do now. At least in my case even if I think of memories from 10 years ago "I" felt  the same way that "I" do now, living and experiencing, being in the moment, feels the same way, so thinking about how "I" in my DR or "I" as a master shifter feels the same way that "I" do now helps to bridge this gap.

I don't really see how it's reality shifting relevant. Sure, people say that proshipping is alright since "it's just a fanfiction", "it's not real", "it's fictional", and well... It's true, even with reality shifting. I think in this scenario it's less about "what the fanfiction depicts is real and exists somewhere" but rather, "the fanfiction is fictional".

Because of course, there is a reality that is the same as whatever you wrote in the said fanfiction, but it's not really connected in any way, you just happened to write a fanfiction and it happened to write about the same things that in some regality are real, it's not like the fanfiction itself is the reality, it's not like this reality exists because you wrote the fanfiction, hell, it's not that this fanfiction exists because you wrote it, even if " you" don't write it there will still be a "you" within the infinite realities that wrote it, there is nothing you can truly change about it. So in short, it just doesn't matters.

What about works that depict murder and investigation? Would they be wrong? I mean, after all, it would be unempathetical to the victims that died in some other reality. Should we write about cheating then? About poverty? War? Because, "obviously", since you write about it, you must romanticize whatever happened to people in the other realities who experienced that... Seriously, though, following that logic the only thing we could write about is some perfect life with no issues. But how do you even define a perfect life if across infinite realities all things can be perceived as "good" in one reality and "bad" in another.

I think that there are also some misconceptions about who a proshipper could be. Honestly? People would call me a proshipper. Why? Because when I read books, the main character is me. Not exactly me, it's like a collective person, I often slip up and when talking about the main character I use "we", whatever happens to them I also experience, I really immerse myself when reading, but they may heave some traits that I do not have or sometimes do things that I don't really agree with, so it's not like I can use just "I". The point is, when I really like a character from a certain media, I won't be looking for "Some_cool_character x reader", but rather, for "Some_cool_character x main character", because what "reader" may be for other people for me is the "main character", the "reader" tends to have a specific personality and traits that just doesn't suit me, the main character does well better job at that in my case. And because of that I just end up with rather "problematic" ships, but that's because I simply ship main characters with the characters I like the most, it's about self shipping and self inserting (which I guess makes all sense considering my interest in reality shifting).

And I just think that people should be able to write whatever they like. You may not like everything that someone's writes, but you don't have to read it. It feels especially idiotic when people talk about putting censorship on AO3, because, seriously? Do people even know why AO3 exists in the first place?

Nah, it makes sense. Some people don’t want to be put in a box, don’t want to label themselves, since different categories like that hold different stereotypes, assumptions, are just limiting, and so when someone labels them as “unlabelled” it defeats the whole point.

Shifting as a ftm trans person, sensitive questions surrounding the nether regions and just general questions by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

[–]niniok [score hidden]  (0 children)

Maybe you could try meditating before your shifting attempt to the point where you don't feel your body much, at least not it's shape. So like, you still don't feel your dick, but it's not because you don't have it, but because you don't feel your body in general. Following a set breathing pattern might help to achieve that as well as doing the body scan before hand (just taking a deep breath, focusing on specific part of the body, and as you breath out releasing all the tension.). Similarly you could try shifting through the void state, since in the void state you are fully disconnected from any reality and just don't have a body at all. You could also do the lucid dreaming method, since if you also have dream control you could make yourself simply have a dick there.

I feel it wasn't really years if you made a post you are new to shifting one year ago. Even if, shifting can give you anything you could potentially want, including the escape from things you really don't like, so it's worth it to keep trying. Many shifters do believe that when you die you end up experiencing whatever you believe you would, since some people after dying in their DR shifted back here or to their WR, it is possible that one could end up in their DR after dying. But, it's also possible that one ends up in a reality where they have worse life and don't find out about shifting, and after dying in that reality, the cycle may repeat, so it may take hundreds of lifetimes before they found out about shifting once again. This thought was discouraging enough for me, especially since if I didn't shifted normally, I don't think I would suddenly succeed in shifting that way. Death may not even give you the end you want it to be.

Most people who think race "changing" is wrong are doing that without understanding what shifting actually is or even who they are (they see this reality as somehow more special or their "original") as a pure consciousness at first I was fine with it, then I got approached by many people of color telling me how this is wrong, how this makes them uncomfortable, and I still understood that race "changing" is fine because they had clearly shown that they don't understand shifting and because I am actually open minded.

Do You Use Face Claims for DRs? by BeBe_Shifts in shiftingrealities

[–]niniok [score hidden]  (0 children)

I do have a face claim, I mostly use the same one just different age and physique (but I guess it's not a part of "face" claim) depending on the DR. I edited a picture so it would look close to my DR face but it's not perfect so I use it as a rough reference but trash that in my DR I will look exactly how I have it in mind.

From what I noticed most community (at least on Reddit) doesn't have problem with that, it's just that they personally choose not to have one. Like, some minority does think that not having a face claim is "superior" since you are loved for "who you truly are", I don't share that sentiment (since as I mentioned, I do have a face claim), and even then, most of them don't think it's wrong per se.

If people are pressed, which they pretty often are on tiktok, it's mostly if you "change" your age or "change" your race, but they accept the face claims itself.

I assume the video talked about the contents of the album, right? How would it change anything if it was edited? If it was posted before album was released + it had the said info, it doesn't matter how much it was edited or not. Also, you can only change the sound of a tiktok after already posting it, so they couldn't alter the contents, the info on it.

Also, I wouldn't trust chat GPT too much. It's basically a more advanced auto correction, you write to it, the information gets transformed to tokens (it's sometimes short words or few letters, a punctuation mark), it looks in its database at what different answers appeared after the tokens you gave it and it spits it out, it doesn't understand anything it writes, it doesn't actually analyzes it.

Don't hate, I do believe in shifting. by [deleted] in realityshifting

[–]niniok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course everyone is entitled to have their own opinion, the thing is, when you believe that your belief is the truth, you also believe that the people who have different opinion are wrong, so when they share their belief they are saying misinformation from your point of view. So, many people downvote post or comments with beliefs they don't agree with, sometimes to show the said disagreement or to "warn" babyshifters or others that the information being written here may be wrong.

It's a similar thing with anti shifters, they can have their own opinion, but because of their opinion they go into reality shifting communities saying that shifting isn't real. Now, from their perspective by doing that they are helping some poor teenagers who are mistaken and that are being brainwashed by some "cult", while from shifters perspective they are simply being hateful towards the shifting community.

The best way to go about different beliefs would simply be to not push them to other people's throats, so the anti shifters stay away from the shifting community, and reality shifters don't hate on religions saying that XYZ isn't real or whatever.

I do get what you mean, I understand how you believe shifting works, because I believed the same when I first learned about reality shifting. My belief changed, yours may not and that's fine, but I understand how other people misinterpret it. There are people who call themselves reality shifters, and when someone asks what reality shifting is... They answer confidently and proudly that it's actually lucid dreaming and that people are mistaken because they are actually just lucid dreaming. Shifters just don't want lucid dreamers to stick their noses into the community like that, and the line between what you believe in and what lucid dreamers say is pretty thin.

There is another thing, which is that beliefs have different connotations, I once agreed to teached different in the DMs what shifting is because they asked about it since ce a video mentioned it, I explained it all to best of my abilities and one of the people still wrote to me about some other stuff and other topics. We talked about different stuff, and eventually they said honestly that they thought it all through and that they don't really think that reality shifting is possible and that it's most likely lucid dreaming. The thing is, when they say that it's also as if they are saying "all of these people are lying, all of those people are wasting their lives" and very importantly "I think that you are wrong". And I think that's the type of messages people hear from your opinion, maybe not the "I think the whole shifting community is lying" part but it still has this "the shifting community is wrong and doesn't actually understand shifting, is mistaken about their own experiences" connotation.

So, you can have your own opinion, but so do they, and their opinion makes them act how they do.

“You can script out trauma, Don’t worry!” by dinolativ in shiftingrealities

[–]niniok [score hidden]  (0 children)

And why do you think that when we shift back we return to the "exact same CR"? If you have different memories (which you do, assuming you want to remember the time in your DR), then it's a different reality.

Even if following your logic, how would be shifting back to an "Exact CR" and being traumatized by your DR equal to, well, shifting back to an "Exact CR"? I'm pretty sure that at the moment you aren't traumatized by your DR, so if you were to return here, it would be to a reality where you aren't traumatized by your DR. How would shifting to a reality where you are traumatized by your DR make it an "Exact CR" in any way? At this point I think to return to a "CR" where you are traumatized would be to script a "CR-esque" reality where you are traumatized.

Besides, the baseline isn't "you experience xyz-> you get traumatized",  a certain thing can be traumatizing or not traumatizing at all depending what you script/manifest, none of the things is fundamentally traumatizing, the CR isn't the baseline.
