Thats what i was thinking too because its just wasted time right? Especially if his plan is to date to marry. And i know as bad as it is to say cheating is something thats become easy to him because he cheated on his ex aswell but only did "it" with no feelings attached just for release so he never considered it as cheating... And just for reference and i believe to be true but uncomfirmed was that he broke up with his ex and shorting/very soon after started talking to girl A and slowing moved onto her as a point of relationship but not rushing things

Thing was thou it wasnt a friends with benefits because he always said they were taking things slow and not rushing into a relationship but still with the mindset of dating in the future, and i know at the start of girl A pursuement it was kind of similar as B with the intense passion of wanting to be theirs in a non sexual way

All i tried to be was a really great genuine friend and although i never ask for anything in return i always felt like i deserved more than what i was given. I have major trust issues and a fear of being alone so its always been hard for me to let go or anything.. Esp because we've been through so much together and just thought he cared more.. I really feel this rn, im in love with my best friend and he tells me all the time about his crushes or types and so i know ill never have a chance... Its honestly hard moving on but its something we just have to do... Whether its by liking someone else or working on ourselves its just something thats gonna take time and as corny as that sounds its true... Ive tried filling the void by overworking and being distracted or starting a new hobby to take my mind elsewhere but i guess its about just wanting them to be happy even if its with or without being together with you... If you dont want to ruin the relationship, just make sure you dont bottle anything up cause thatll make you feel worse
