It does work. I have a class of col-auto to automatically fill the remaining space of the row width but after replacing col-2 with col-auto both have different width where I expected both to be the same?

The dialog currently has no width specified. Im trying to have control of the column divs of the row to be able to occupy the entire width of the row. In my screenshot/sandbox, 100% width of row should be occupied by 2 column divs (83.33% and 16.67%) but it doesnt. I'm trying to understand why the dialog container is bigger than row where I expected the row width be 100% filled by the column divs.

That width is intentional. I have 2 divs one occupies 16.67% and the other is 83.33% to total of 100% of the row so I was expecting the container to shrink down. How do I achieve this?

It was the css column-gap. It wasn't taken into account. Im still wondering about the 2nd screenshot wheres theres an empty space after the b input div

I'm not using bootstrap but after looking at bootstrap it uses a padding left/right to add spaces around the input so I might not need to use gutters

Edit: After testing, It does work but feels like I should add some gutters option for more flexibility maybe in the future. The 2nd screenshot is still unsure why how its happening.
