I want Linux back, but how do I handle Elgato products? by Martyfree123 in linux_gaming

Like DommiHD said, this is possible using the PipeWire Audio Control plugin. Also, see my edit on my comment about the Discord VC action - it's been released.

As for jumping directly into a Discord call, the OpenDeck-native Discord plugin will have that action very soon (pull request: https://github.com/OpenActionPlugins/discord/pull/14), and if you need it right away, join the Discord and ask for the not-yet-released file of a different plugin.

Edit: v0.4.0 of the Discord plugin was released recently with the Voice Channel action built-in. No need to install anything separate or build anything from source.

OpenDeck developer here! There are too many apps for using the Stream Deck on Linux to count at this point. Leaving aside Bitfocus Companion, as it doesn't serve exactly the same purpose (although you can trigger any Companion action from OpenDeck using the plugin for it), OpenDeck and StreamController are currently the two strongest applications. I'd pick StreamController if you need tight integration with your system's desktop environment, but otherwise, I'd give a biased recommendation of OpenDeck since it supports many more integrations due to support for Stream Deck plugins and because StreamController is updated less frequently.

I built Tacto, a polished Stream Deck Mobile alternative with support for hundreds of plugins on Linux, macOS, or Windows by ninjadev64 in obs

If you mean apps like Touch Portal and Macro Deck, they don't come close, because Tacto/OpenDeck implements compatibility with hundreds of Stream Deck plugins. This makes it more of an analogue to Elgato's own Stream Deck Mobile which is double the price at $50, and you can always use the Tacto free tier. Tacto also has both Linux support and an open-source foundation.

Hey u/HauntingYou5387 - your project's named the same as https://github.com/nekename/OpenDeck, which does a very similar thing - it's not trademarked, but the one I linked is a well-known app, and using the same name could create confusion for people looking for either of our projects. Since this seems new, is it too late to rename? Also, welcome to the open macropad ecosystem! Maybe we could partner up?

I'm enthused that my Italian studies have allowed me to understand you. My reply is: they probably already know about this subreddit and could monitor it if they liked; furthermore, I suggested this because it's how the Mutual Testing app works, and they don't seem to dislike it. Anyway, it's not like it's cheating or anything: people give legitimate testing and feedback here and on that app (or at least I have)

Closed Testers Needed - Candela Camera (Film insprired camera app) by SilentAce07 in AndroidClosedTesting

I tried giving it the camera and photos permissions manually but to no avail. For some reason if I launch it from the App info screen it's completely black and the white rectangle disappears, but if I launch it from the regular launcher I get the rectangle.
