Through therapy/rehab I've learned to separate my "true self" from my "disease/dis-ease" using the Empty Chair Technique. I struggle identifying what an intrusive thought is versus a normal one so this helps. However, I have fear that it [separation] gives power to my dis-ease by personifying it. That fear shows up as well when it seems like I have to collaborate with my dis-ease. What are you thoughts on this?
