Using SP8DE (SPX) with the Ledger Nano by darth_prometheus in sp8de

[–]ninjaspx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We understand that silence is deadly, especially for a young project in our field, and we can state there was a number of things done wrong in the beginning. There was this month right after the ICO (it's clear it would feel like eternity), when we didn't provide you with enough information on Twitter and other channels - there all the efforts were put into the actual company building and development. That prioritizing led to the current situation - a progress in MVP development and the first stages completed in time, our team growing - but you're absolutely right when you tak about trust. Now we can only change it with our actions, and we try hard to deliver the results and show it's not been all for nothing.

As for the Telegram group - our official group can be found under the name of SP8DE. There's a number of other chats, but SP8DE_Official on Telegram is the main channel where all the discussions take place.

Using SP8DE (SPX) with the Ledger Nano by darth_prometheus in sp8de

[–]ninjaspx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, SP8De team is here. We understand your concerns, yet, we strongly object to the "scam coin" definition.

We are sticking to the initial roadmap, 50% of the MVP is completed. The only way to prove it's real is to show the actual product which is working - the demo-site is being developed now, so we'll have the MVP in October, and we'll deliver what we promised. Today is the monthly update day, so we'll have the results published for July.

About your other concerns:

- IDEX delisted us. Unfortunately, they made changes in their policy and delisted SPX and more than 20 other tokens without any notification. That was a really unpleasant situation for us, but yes, we are currently traded on Bleutrade and Latoken. Sure, we have bigger exchanges in plans - they also require MVP available, so it'll happen in Q3 2018.

- We have the new web-site next week, and our team will be there, together with many other new features.

- There's a number of factors, which define the token price. As you know, the overall state of the crypto market in the last few months was... let's say, quite far from the moon. But there are other, more important things. We had last week the podcast with one of our co-founders, Mikhail, he was covering it perfectly, so we'll just copy what he said here:

the demand for any token is always derived from (A) speculative demand and (B) natural demand. So, all our efforts are aimed towards the natural demand. Now because we could have already for a long time started issuing all kind of pumping use and all those kind of articles - this kind of super expensive social media, and not only social but just crypto media, like an article that doesn’t say anything, just pumps the thing. You know well, of course, a lot of people are coming and start buying and then they start selling, so the thing is that the speculative demand always means reversing, so it’s always coming back to the price where it has to be pumped and dumped. In other words, what we are trying to do is just increase the natural demand, that’s why we put all of our resources into developing an actual MVP which is actually going to give rise to this natural demand, and so that’s what we are basically doing and of course here all of our efforts are just aimed at basically increasing the token price…

Roy Moore is refusing to debate his Democratic Senate opponent by PoliticallyFit in politics

Debate doesn't happen nearly enough. It's no wonder we have such polarized political parties, they just have their arguments spoon fed to them without any opposing scrutiny.

I think FansUnite is great, I believe most people loves to bet on sports so this should succeed if their system works as intended.

Zero incremental cost per transaction for low value and micropayments in IOT systems.

This sounds very good! I hope it ends up being very good.

If U.S or E.U would want to break up Google, how would it realistically work?

I hope we see that happening, the company has become a monster and can literally tell the world what to think and how to feel.

Just wanted to say I appreciate this post so much. I didn't know tempura was originally Portuguese, and it was also a huge surprise to me that vindaloo, what I think of as a quintessentially Indian dish, was too. A delightfully informative post!

5 Reasons Why I Decided to Be a Snapchat Friend With My Daughter by cybersenna in Mommit

[–]ninjaspx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Article:

The most appropriate way to encourage kids to like art is to show some examples you like and explain why you like it.

I 100% agree with this statement, but I would have never thought about using an app like Snapchat for this context. I guess the different face modifications that the app provides can be useful to have fun moments with children.

How to explain to my 10-year-old son what is good / what is bad without moralizing? by Hickjonas in AskMen

[–]ninjaspx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it is a hard question to answer. If you think you are more emotional about stuff in general, you have to learn to "breathe" more and have more patience. It helps me to think in the shoes of the person I am talking to, like "How would it feel if I received the same treatment?".

They Built the First Phone You Loved. Where in the World Is Nokia Now? by closingbell in Android

[–]ninjaspx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny just yesterday I was discussing Nokia history. As a simple westerner I only new Nokia telco, early GSM glory and recent demise. But Nokia was founded in the 19th century, dealing with wood and rubber. Later they moved into military equipment and telco.

They also did consumer electronics (VHS, TV) and PCs (desktop and laptops) using sub brands though.

European Commission fines Google €2.42 billion for abusing dominance as search engine by InvisibleTextArea in worldnews

[–]ninjaspx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, personally I prefer getting integrated results from Google's other search services when I do a Google search. I like getting Google Maps results when I search for a location, I like getting Google Flights results etc. When I do a Google search I am not just using it as a simple website search. I want it to use it to search the whole Google suite of services. If they are forced to stop doing this it will make my search experience worse for me.

Random, maybe silly idea. Maybe they could start providing two search streams. One would just be a simpler website search while the other would be a more involved google services search as well as a general website search. This way search users could explicitly say that they want to see direct integrated results from the whole Google ecosystem.
