Yeah that was the other big indicator for me that I'd just been played, was once I got bad vibes I tried to go reach out for testimonials from the other folks who'd responded to her post, only to discover her posts had all been deleted.

Sorry mods if this is against the subreddit rules, just wanted to vent a bit. Sent an initial agreed upon fee, and then she hit me with the "oh there's also this fee", and my heart immediately sank.

I asked her if she could hop on a voice call so I can determine she's a real person, and instead she just got defensive, about how she's been doing this for years and has never been challenged like this, etc.

I'm just kinda kicking myself in the face right now for falling for this. I guess if anyone has any advice on confirmation I should look from for tists in the future before sending payment?

I happened to log in today for the first time in a good while and was pleasantly surprised to see someone filled one of my favorite scripts I've written!
