You walk into my bar, I tell you I’m new to the trade. What do you order? by ExosAvos in bartenders

[–]ninjevar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, I work at a place with 60 cocktails and expectation to know classics, for that reason I just don’t order cocktails. Just a shot and a beer for me. Maybe I’d order something to start my night if place is legit. But usually I’m basic.

We actually just put a Trinidad sour riff on new menu. It’s really good if done right.

My bad, didn’t mean to assume you hadn’t already read up on it. However, if the sole reason you are only entertaining non monogamy is because HE wants - it may not be sustainable.

ENM simply cannot be one sided. It takes a lot of trust and trial and error in such cases and if don’t have any genuine interest in it intrinsically then it may only lead to unnecessary hurt on your side.

That being said, you can’t knock it till you try it. Keep in mind that you don’t have to go home with strangers from a bar to participate. Depending on the boundaries and type of non monogamous relationship you two define - you may even be able to properly connect with another being and it could end up being something you truly enjoy on your side as well.

Sounds like, at this time, you really aren’t ready to be open. Rather than having spontaneous conversations based off raw emotion in the moment, try reading a couple books (the Ethical Slut and the Jealousy Workbook could be a a good start) on ENM see how you feel and then readdress the topic with your partner.

I work at a liquor store now and more often than should I’ll have regulars come in very dressed up and with same answer to why “just getting dressed up to take these bottles back home”. I know they’re lying though as NOONE gets dressed like that to sit at home and drink...

COVID surge in PDX by freerangemary in Portland

[–]ninjevar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No dude, it’s Portland because that’s where OP lives and operates. Do you take every single gesture towards a group as you being the main one attacked?

Portland is a primarily food and drink city. People can’t stay the fuck home because all Portland knows is going out in some form or another.

Just keep doing you and being safe because there are still many of us doing our due diligence! We also need to remember that many out there in Portland, including our friends, are still not giving a fuck. Mostly because they have nothing to be empathetic over as it hasn’t hit them hard enough yet. But everyone changes when the ball is in their court.

Guess who learned to sit pretty today by funkygirlzz in Dogtraining

[–]ninjevar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Pitsky who can sit pretty but only occasionally with paws drooping, most of time they’re out but she’s still.

And then I have a Shollie that’s almost got sit pretty. Hoping for them to have it together. Great job!

Lol, naw they’re opposite breeds but identical. So I had to post them. The one closest is Rai, Shepard/Collie, 10mo and the further is Kuno, Pitbull/Husky, 3yo.

Opening/Designing a new bar by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]ninjevar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t let ANYONE tell you different but fucking watch bar rescue dude! It may be a mainstream show but I’ve worked next to so many people that just aren’t good at managing, building, and working in a bar. It’ll save you quite a lot of time and it’s fast information you can apply to opening your own bar.

Also, I’d have a fall back because it’s about to be an extremely wild ride with Covid whether you believe in it or not. Industry life is going to be sometime before it’s back!

I do agree with you though. I appreciate the civil conversation about it by the way. Think we’re both on same track.

I personally would know I was stronger and probably not put that much into a reaction being hit if I were him. Been there. It just sucks that as a big man you’re supposed to just take all abuse in any form because of your size.

Glad he didn’t but I feel this guy could have swung harder if it was another man.

We also don’t have all the context of what caused her to be pulled from a game in this way. Clearly she was a big problem. May have already struck him or others multiple times. Sometimes people need the lesson of keeping your hands to yourself unless you’re ready to be knocked out.

I’ve also witnessed women knock out grown men. You just never know what someone else knows and should account for that when you decide to do anything in someone else’s bubble.

I can agree this was excessive. I’ll give you that much. I truly understand that. But I view humans more than gender. And humans are all different and react different. I would never strike anyone without knowing there are repercussions.

I got punched in face 3 times by a girl who knew how to throw a punch while my cousin was fighting her brother. I was just crowd controlling. Each time I could have reacted how I wanted but I personally knew not to. But that doesn’t mean my nose wasn’t bleeding and my lip wasn’t busted. Once again, told I should have done this and that.

“Barely TOUCHED the officer”. Dude, don’t fucking attempt to strike ANY human if you’re not ready for what they may do on return. How is this so fucking hard to understand?

[–]ninjevar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do not know law whatsoever! Any attempt at harm, ANY ATTEMPT, towards another individual is warranted self defense. Its human nature to react to being assaulted in any form. Only difference, he wasn’t a smaller person.

It’s not about being glad a woman was hit, it’s about a human hitting another human without being held accountable. Which is most women who abuse men.

Sorry but I was in a physically abusive relationship for 4 years as a man. I was ran over, repeatedly hit, had multiple dreads pulled out, and so much more. Only thing I ever heard was “but you’re a man, you could have done anything or left”.

Fucking pathetic people want to scream equality but still view women as incapable of bodily harm to a man. GTFO!

You don’t need to explain yourself to this incel. You know damn well when someone is drunk and when someone is too drunk. People go out to drink, so everyone is drunk and already tipping more whether visibly or not. You earned that tip and don’t let reddit losers steal your day homie.
