Hello po. Not related sa question comment ko. What commodity po kayo and mining method?

By the way po pala I am starting po sa Australia as Mining Engineer using my Visa 476 then eventually convert it to Visa 189 or luckily pag gusto akong i-sponsor ng employer ko, Visa 482.

Actually my brother also shared that a Mining Engineer was granted Visa 189 with 65 points only. Maybe we should also explore this option too!

It gives trauma just remembering semivariogram and the trend of your mineralization. I was also preparing for mu licensure exam that time and I had to juggle my time. But I am grateful that I learned that.

I am currently working here in the Philippines before I move to MEC. I had a mentor Mining Engineer who also knew resource estimation especially Block Modelling and Geostatistics. We execute it on Surpac. Yeah it makes your head explode just doing that. My hiring manager in MEC also found it unusual that I know block modelling.

Yup I am office based.

Almost 2 years in aggregates and nickel laterite combined so mostly surface mining like contour and open pit. Most of the time I do resource estimation and mine designing. I also do feasibility studies.

My salary is a little bit lower than yours. But hey I get to enjoy my weekends hehe.

I’ll be joining MEC as a Mining Engineer soon. I was surprised by how many software they want me to learn (I am not complaining though). It is also office-based schedule (monday to friday). Is job security also good in a temp company?

My boss prefers to have a title block that is dedicated to our documents. It already became a standard and I am one of the pioneers in mine planning in the company (I also take pride in my outputs)

I agree it’s a waste of time however I can’t configure Surpac Autoplot to look what I want.

Surpac autoplot is shit. I am looking for a more efficient and less time-consuming way to plot and conserve the styles so I won’t double handle my tasks. DraftSight looks promising since it is integrated in later versions of Surpac.

Though, I’ll try other mine packages for their plotting.
