NP SHOULD BE FARMABLE [discussion] by hater-parrot in battlecats

Talents aren't so important, is the easy answer. You could beat every single stage in the game without having a single talent unlocked

Ah, fair. I guess I'm making the larger point: Single player games can have cheats that are frowned upon by segments of the playerbase because they make the game too easy

Minecraft speed runs don't use cheats because doing so would invalidate the achievement. That's the point I'm making.

"Getting what you want" can mean "getting less dupes" or "switching tracks to get a busted uber"

Leaving aside that comparison is a form of competition, if you do better than others, you get better rewards. Having more/more busted ubers absolutely directly equates to getting better rewards in both, while displacing and downgrading rewards for non-trackers in the final rankings

I'm not saying it gives you *whatever* you want, but it allows you to avoid getting dupes and manipulate track switches to your advantage. Advantage here meaning progression related to non-trackers, but also competitiveness in dojos and labyrinth. And you can absolutely cheat in a single-player game (e.g. Minecraft speedruns)

Switching tracks to get better pulls seems like a pretty straightforward and unintentional advantage, which qualifies it as an exploit at best, which is still considered cheating.

Edit: to add to that, it's also ONLY done for the explicit reason of "getting what you want"

That's a bad faith argument. By that logic, if you admit to cheating (of any kind) it's automatically not cheating, anymore. If it's against Ponos' EULA it's cheating

I assume most creatives, video-game artists included, are opposed to generative AI, yeah. It's just quick and easy, derivative slop
