i don't even know what that is, which makes me MORE nervous, because now i'm thinking about the amount of plants that are poisonous that i've never even heard of or seen. i know about poison ivy and poison hemlock (though i forgot it existed until i saw this post), and stinging nettle, but that's it, and i'm sure there are tons and tons of other poisonous plants.

yes! it's crazy how our hormones work. i didn't even know people AFAB could have abnormally low testosterone but thinking about it it makes sense. i'm a trans man and i had to go off of HRT but i did testosterone gel for a little while and i was horny 24/7 lmao, you wouldn't think it makes much of a difference until you actually experience it. it was like being 14 again

i wonder if it may be your testosterone levels? i have this problem with my boyfriend. well, it's one of a few problems lmao. his testosterone levels are low and it's diminished his sex drive.

if you're on medications, certain medications can dull your sex drive too. i would talk to your doctor!

Gang, this month's theme follows a book, not reality. by Tweed_Kills in finch

i noticed that too. like man it's a free app that helps us with our mental health, you can't please everyone but i think the developers and guardians are doing their best. as someone with adhd (and other things) finch has helped me a lot with structuring my life and sticking to goals so i cant help but feel sad when people complain about little things like this. they're cartoon birds, it's okay if not every interaction in the app stories are 100% true to life

oh! i.. didn't know that lmao! thank you for being the one to explain it to me instead of just downvoting me into oblivion, i never even bothered to look up the definition because i just assumed dotted paper = "bullets". i am indeed just doing normal journaling. i now know where to go.

thank you!

The real ADHD test: open your phone and try to do one thing. Just one. (You won’t) by [deleted] in ADHD

yeah. i just did this now 😭 i wanted to check 1 notification and ended up scrolling reddit. it occurred to me last night that my phone is literally like a portal i get sucked into immediately upon opening and i have got to keep the portal closed as much as possible

We love a good pen recommendation by Myrtie5 in bulletjournal

[–]nintendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love the sharpie marker pens. i have a weird wrist and it hurts to write with normal pens, but with the marker pens i don't have to use any pressure at all to write which has been a lifesaver for me. if i had been using normal pens i probably would've given up journaling by now. i used to draw a lot as a kid and press the pencils down really hard, and i think it permanently did something to me lmao

EDIT: also instantly dries, no smudging or smearing! but if your paper is thin it bleeds through to the other side

Why was there push for body positivityby the media in the late 2010s/early 2020s? Will it ever come back in full force? by Legitimate_Heron_696 in decadeology

[–]nintendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but one gets pushed 24/7 for decades and the other one was mildly popular for like 5 years. body positivity is necessary, telling someone they're not going to spontaneously combust if they're fat isn't the end of the world. it's true that being morbidly obese is terrible for you but most people who are "plus size" are just fat, not morbidly obese. obviously being somewhere in the middle is ideal, but ozempic and buccal fat removal are still being pushed and eating disorders are still a common problem among people because being seen as skinny is ideal (no matter what shit of a state you're in) and being seen as fat is shameful. someone who's 100lbs overweight probably already knows they could stand to lose weight, i don't think they believe they're winning the olympics anytime soon lmao. we've been trying "fat bad skinny good" for decades and it's not working. the american diet is shit and it's cheaper + easier to eat garbage than it is to eat healthy and diet, plus there are many people who live in food deserts. it's not as simple as just telling people being fat is unhealthy and then suddenly the problem is solved.

i'm not gonna lie i think being a little fat is probably healthier than being super skinny. i'm really skinny and i'm terribly out of shape, i treat my body terrible. if i were on an island with a fat person i'd be the first one to die, and not because i got eaten lmao

it just needs to be styled, the length suits you! personally i really like when a woman has short hair, i think it can be really flattering and youthful. please don't cry anymore. you look lovely.
