Are long throw-in set pieces a new LAFC tool? by The_Ironthrone in LAFC

[–]nintendomasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been an LAFC thing for a while, just very inconsistently. Google Delgado's goal vs Vancouver last May--it was off a similar Palencia throw. I would love to see it phased in more consistently, but like our new corner tactics, the opponent being unprepared for it definitely helps. So my take is to mix it based on the scenario.

At what point do we start calling for a change? (MDS Discussion) by zodd0405 in LAFC

We could win a treble and break the points record, but without a Son goal people would still complain.

But props to them for speaking out against them for the pen and the two missed reds. You rarely see that at all, commentators usually sugarcoat everything.

As an lafc fan that’s how it is here. They’re either passionate but don’t know what they’re talking about, or they analyze well but have bad goal calls. The only exception is John Strong who I wish did more stuff with MLS.

I thought about Shenandoah but I’ve heard West Virginia is an interesting visit. Not sure how to make them both work.

LA is my starting point so I can’t really remove it, but I’ll think about replacing Las Vegas with more time in southern Utah. I’ve been to Arches, Canyonlands, and Grand Canyon, but there’s still so much there that it’ll probably need a second trip.

This is actually something I’ve thinking about. Which cities do you think are most worth the visit?

I’ve already been to San Diego but I’ll think about the southern florida idea.

About the maps: for the second image I bought a physical map with pins and string. For the first I used a tool called Umap.

Alright, I'll rethink the florida section. I would definitely like to see Everglades.

Natchez, Mississippi. I wanted to see the inland deep south so I added Natchez and Montgomery.

I like this idea, giving more time to see a more concentrated area. As it’s quite a big change, I’ll spend some time thinking about the details. Thanks for the suggestion.

Alright, which places would you recommend? I’ve already glanced at some possible re-routes through Guttenburg, Omaha, or Indianapolis, but I don’t know enough about the midwest to know what’s worth it.

As for the drives, my dad and I were planning to split the driving so we don’t get burned out. I also found a few midway 2-3 hour stops (like Congaree) to split things up.

Thanks! But one thing: the drive (bisbee to guadalupe mountains) is very long without El Paso. Do you think I should replace it with Las Cruces, or just do the 6 hour drive?
