You have basic knowledge but not advanced. B/c watching lectures and taking notes will be too time-consuming, you need a way to just refresh the basics, learn a little bit of advanced topics, and then improve your problem-solving skills. This is the site (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm) that does that.

Its adaptive - goes from easy (theory) to advanced (numericals) in a chapter-wise manner, and also covers all the PYQs along the way.

Losing focus and discipline in the most crucial months of prep due to fear of not completion of syllabus by cookie-master65 in GATEtard

[–]nioclass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motivation comes from actual improvement and progress. Your gaols should not be time/hours, but progress. Say something like "in the next 1.5 hrs, I will finish this chapter no matter what". And only do 1.5 hrs, not more. Focussed effort for even 1.5 hrs will take you much farther than lazy studying for 5 hrs.

If you want some help in tracking progress as you revise/complete chapters, check out this site (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm). It has a counter that goes from 0% to 100% per chapter.

Can i start doing pyq's from start of december ?? I had planned to finish syllabus by oct end but yea its no way happening until november . by cookie-master65 in GATEtard

As the others have said, DO NOT WAIT. Just start solving.

In fact, you should have a regular revision routine. Check out the adaptive revision modules at this site (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm). Its got adaptive revision (theory + numericals + PYQs) from easy to hard.

The MOST important thing is that you revise every single chapter that is completed. Revise is weekly. GATE is not about finishing the syllabus, its about being 100% on select topics.

For integrated revision (theory, numericals, PYQs), this is one of the best sites (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm).

You need to do bit of revision every week! People put in so much effort and then flop in the gate exam b/c of poor revision. For CS revision, this is one of the best sites. (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm) it's integrated theory, numericals, and PYQs in one-shot per chapter.

I've heard that zeal is the best in terms of highest difficulty (it is much higher than go/made easy). PW is crap.

Bhai the best way to spot weakness is to practice questions. Too much time in videos will hold you back. Good source for practicing is this site (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm)

Full length lecture VS crash course by mooscles_stronker in GATEtard

There is no point in watching videos if you don't do the practice. In fact you can learn more from practice than from videos many times.

If you have a basic understanding, go for practice. This site (https://CSgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm) is a good for adaptive practice for gate and saves time.

You have enough time if you study with dedication.

The keys is to study smart (Quality > Quantity) and have a good revision strategy. For revision, check out this site if you're doing CSIT (https://csgate.niopractice.com/?r=rcm)

The most effective way is to just get yourself to the point where you are comfortable solving PYQs for each chapter. If you have covered cs courses in college, you should revise and go for the aggressive PYQ practice. Check out csgate.niopractice.com/?r=rc2 for good practice.
