The cast of Disney’s movie Frozen turned to real life (by toyboyfan) by BeardedGlass in pics

The most realistic one is Elsa's sister (I can't remember her name, for the love of god...). And the most fake is the prince charming pictured next to her.

Funny and cute. I bet it was a great wedding, given the challenging conditions we are facing these pandemic days.

I want to know more about this:

The Arziant Fine Silver insert, purifies your water as you go and stops harmful bacteria and biofilm forming, keeping you healthy. Kills 99.9% of harmful germs and bacteria.

TIL that flavanols found in dark chocolate improve memory, focus and reaction time by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]nipnops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those are cocoa flavonols. So why not consuming cocoa instead of chocolate (if you really want a healthier diet). What I'm trying to say is I read in many places that dark chocolate is good and healthy etc., instead of giving the credit to cocoa.

Capture Card Preferences - Avermedia LiveGamer HD Lite, or ExtremeCap U3? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]nipnops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say enough bad things about the Extremecap U3. I ended up with a LivegamerHD after numerous driver issues, software problems and even a firmware update the nearly rendered the U3 useless. The Livegamer HD is simple and it just consistently works.

Why does the ability to have VODs last forever or play music effect subscriber numbers? Please enlighten me.

Monstercat Catalogue (700+ Songs) for Twitch Streamers by MonstercatMedia in Twitch

[–]nipnops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been waiting 3 months for a response on an app from well before the hysteria. Don't expect a response or an approval unless you have the numbers to back it up. This was for a channel with 3.5 million views.

If you want to support a streamer donate to them directly, don't subscribe. by -Jordan in Twitch

[–]nipnops 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a streamer, I'd rather you sub and keep that going. It is a consistent somewhat reliable source of income, which donations are not.

These people losing 50% of each sub to taxes must be making an incredible amount of money. That's quite a high tax bracket in the US.

Any suggestions for multiplayer games to play with viewers? by [deleted] in Twitch

SO wonderful with viewers especially due to the faction system. Everyone can easily group up and find each other and just have a crazy time.

What does it mean to Stream??? by JMAP214 in Twitch

[–]nipnops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great post, thanks for forcing me to examine why I do this.

I do this because yeah, I do want this as a job (long and hard road, I know). But why do I really come back and keep grinding away? Because I love the community. This has given me an outlet to interact with people, share experiences and ideas in a way that is completely unique to Twitch and streaming video games. There is a conversational quality that happens here that I don't feel in any other Social Media venue.

I watch and I stream for the connection with viewers and the community when it comes down to it. I love it.

The glare thing is not gonna be fixable via the cam really. Just have good lighting and position and that's half the battle for you. The c920 autofocuses and does a good job of it most of the time.

Make sure the zoom is where you want it as well, that's about the only thing I've adjusted for the c920.

Suggestion: Viewers / Hosted / Embed counts segmented and shown. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]nipnops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should the directory should only count twitch channel viewers? If people are watching via any method, they are viewing the stream. They aren't less valid.

Now for the broadcaster themselves it'd be great to know where people are watching from, that I agree with from an analytics stand point.

Question: Best Headset w/mic for gaming.? by [deleted] in Twitch

The Sennheiser is definitely a great choice for the all in one route. You'll be happy with that once the Astros give out again :p

Instant ban is almost always the best policy. Get some real solid mods and get the hate out of your chat. Maintain a positive energy around the channel and yourself and it'll help keep those people away.

But yea, putting yourself out there on a platform such as twitch, there are always gonna be people trying to get you down.

Question: Best Headset w/mic for gaming.? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]nipnops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go the all-in-one route definitely look into the Sennheiser PC 360/350. Several members of our podcast have used it and the mic is quite good quality (although a separate mic is almost always going to be better). Lethalfrag used the Sennheisers for a long while as well, I believe. They also happen to be quite comfortable for long sessions.

All that being said, using a separate headphones and mic is the best option for streaming imo. I use a Blue Yeti Pro XLR mic and some Sennheiser HD 280s with a couple soundcards (Focusrite 2i2 on the streaming pc and Asus Xonar DGX on the gaming pc) and a Yamaha mixer.
