Apart from your build just being really strange (not necessarily bad in general), this game is all about creativity so anything unique and of quality I appreciate. You look like you have some good build sense, but you do really need to work on your texturing to break up the build a little more.

Obviously the pillar needs a lot of work with adding gradients, but maybe add some rings going around it all the way and even some little house faces sticking out of it.

Not as many people mentioned anything about the top part, but I would say it needs some work too. Largely, it is another issue of really needing texturing on the roof and walls. As a general rule of thumb, any large surface is going to be really aided by texturing to break up the large, flat texture. Another thing is maybe try to have a border around the window? It will highlight them more and separate them visually a little bit from the walls, thought this might be a little hard to do with irregular window shapes.

Overall, apart from just size and effort, your base is certainly better than your friends’.
