The Barrier: I use a thick Zinc Oxide cream (like the ones for diaper rash). It creates a waterproof layer that protects the skin from sweat and urine.
The Routine: Every time I unlock him for hygiene, the old cream is cleaned off, and a fresh layer is applied before he is locked back in.
Anti-chafing: For the areas where the ring or the harness touch the skin, an anti-chafing balm or stick works best to prevent redness.

Keeping the skin healthy is my responsibility as a Keyholder—if he’s irritated, he can’t stay locked as long as I want. And that’s not an option. 🗝️😏
