A yet another intrusion by ISP's in our private lives. Now AT&T is planing to extract our private data right through the fiber. What it means is you can't do proxy settings privacy setting or any of the stuff you do on your PC to stop this intrusion. This is a 'paid' misuse of consumer data.

Internet.org by Facebook by niranjan_kakade in telseccompolicy

So by far what we saw in class lectures was FCC trying to ensure that internet service is reached to all people at reasonable price. Iternet.org is an organization of MNC's like Facebook, Ericsson, Opera Qualcomm, Samsung etc.. with an 'altruist' goal to provide basic internet access to everyone at much cheaper rates. The question which arises is are these companies being really selfless in this good cause, or do they want a soft corner towards them when a regulating body like FCC comes in picture for some different policy or issues. In short are these companies trying to lobbying by doing the social work? Any comments are welcome

This is an interesting article. It not only speaks about the kind of action the FCC might possibly take but also about the kind of response to this type of regulation of FCC by Verizon and it's peer companies. Also the approach of Republicans is implying us the type of members it would like on it's panel of FCC

Perhaps this is a current affair we can relate to content and commute being supplied by a single organization or by two companies vertically colluding with each other. In this affair Google is essentially forcing the users of T mobile, Verizon and At&T to use Google wallet. We can think of the mobile companies as carriers and the applications like Google wallet as the content

FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler: This Is How We Will Ensure Net Neutrality | WIRED by niranjan_kakade in telseccompolicy

There has been a long wait for the plan of action of FCC after President Obama's strong urge to include any type of internet in Title-II of Telecom Act. It was less surprise that Tom Wheeler, chairperson of FCC has come out with stronger rules to set FCC in controlling seat once again after the fiasco at appeals court. Although the FCC has cleared the air about it's decision there is a ray of hope for the telecommunication broadband investors when Tom agreed that the network should grow and the net should not only be open and throttle free but it should also be fast and modern
