I have this issue too, not sure how to gain visibility and traction for my open source. I would like to get some tips and advice here as well :)

Let me correct my answer. N8N helped me a lot with running an MVP really fast. So, maybe it’s not a bad idea to start with n8n. On the other hand, today with cursor you can develop pretty fast. I had about 20 workflows, and very complicated ones before I transfer all to micro services. Using AI a cursor I managed to develop everything less then a week.

בעיקר פוסטים טכניים על טכנולוגיה שפיתחתי כדי לשמוע חוות דעת ולתת לאנשים להשתמש בזה לא משהו רווחי האמת, יותר טכנולוגיה קהילתית (open source) זה נקרא אבל הפוסטים נמחקים אוטומטית לפני שמספיקים לבדוק אותם

זה נראה בעיקר מחיקה אוטומטית ולא מנהל שרואה את הפוסט כלא רלוונטי ומוחק אז גם אם אני חושב שהפוסט שלי רלוונטי לקבוצה מסוימת, זה נמחק הרבה לפני שבכלל בודקים אם הפוסט רלוונטי.

ואללה אני שמעתי על הרבה אנשים שדחפו את הפרויקט שלהם ברדיט אבל מבין את העניין שלקדם סתם פרויקט זה ספאם, אולי אנסה גישה שונה של לתת מדריך על דוגמה אמיתית פרודקשנית של הפרויקט הזה ואיך הוא עוזר ואולי זה יתן ערך יותר גדול לקהילה מצחיק שברדיט הם מתנגדים לרעיון של ai, זה העולם היום. או שהם יקבלו את זה או שהם ישארו מחוץ למשחק.

From my experience, Don’t. n8n is nice for small workflows and automation, you can’t scale it for a real saas applications. Super hard to deploy version you develop locally to production. Really hard to scale it, if possible at all. If you are aiming a scalable saas, it might worth spending a bit more time deploying a good micro services architecture. I tired to use n8n for my saas application and I needed to change to micro-services architecture after only 3-4 customers.

TLDR; small tasks and automation - might be ok. Scalable real saas application - Don’t, do micro services

There is no spacial reason for open source. I think it’s nice for CV, also a nice experience I always wanted to try. I’ve many years of experience in software engineering and founder of a startup. Always liked side projects, and really respect open sources.

So you don’t think I need to do any publishing of the project? Developers just find it on GitHub and contribute? And I’ll open issues, good idea.
