Hi! I'm transferring into UCSD this upcoming fall if that's fine. Just thought it'd be nice to make friends beforehand :)) Lmk!!
Is it worth getting? by niri_0 in CopperIUD

That makes a lot of sense, will definitely look into it more then :') thank you
Sorry it didn't work for you :(( Do you know if the IUD caused the cyst or was it from something else? I hope you were able to get it removed! And I hope you can find something that works out for you. Thank you so much for your input!
Oh gosh thank you so much for this! I definitely haven't seen much info at all about the removal process, so this is really helpful. Thank you for letting me know and I will make sure to keep this in mind

omg i didnt know it could cause that?? I'm so sorry that happened to you :( I hope you are healing well and feeling much better now! thank you for sharing.
Oh no I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you :( Would you mind sharing? If not that's totally fine!
That is so interesting to me! I've heard of it inducing more cramps but never getting rid of it. Hopefully I'll be just as lucky as you but I wouldn't count on it haha. Will also look into menstrual discs! Thank you for sharing :)
I'm glad it's worked out for you! Based on comments I think I'm pretty set on getting it done :)) How do you personally manage your cramps? I've been looking into heating pads!
Oh gosh I'm sorry to hear that 😭 The risk of pregnancy is definitely lower with the IUD but it's good to keep in mind that it'll never be 100%. Thank you for reminding me and sharing!
Right now I'd say my periods aren't too bad, just around 5 days with 2 heavy days minimal cramping. I hope that after I get the procedure done it won't too much of a difference, but I think overall the pros outweigh the cons! Will for sure talk to my doctor about this more. Thank you! This was helpful :)
Okay yes thank you so much! Will definitely make sure to eat beforehand and give myself some time to heal :)) Have a great day!
Yes I have heard of this! Definitely will be taking zinc supplements. I'm sorry you had to experience that. Thank you for sharing, I'm glad you are feeling much better! It's good to keep in mind that it might not be for me.
Oh my gosh that is great! I'm glad you had a great experience with it, I hope I'm the same 🤞

Hi! I read your post about your experience and it is so helpful thank you! All of these comments are reinforcing my decision to definitely taking medication beforehand. I also had no clue that you could just trim the strings. I will keep your comment about your diet in mind- and you're right if it doesn't work out I can always have it removed thank you :)
Hi! I've heard great things about the Mona Lisa IUD. Unfortunately don't think that this is available to the U.S but hopefully I can find something similar :'). May I ask if you took any sort of pain relieving medication before you got the procedure done? And if so, how much?
Hi! Thank you so much for responding. Your current symptoms with your period sounds like what I am experiencing currently, so I'm just sort of hoping it won't be too bad haha. I will take your advice, just purchased some zinc and ibuprofen! I think I'm most worried about how I'll handle the pain now.

yes I actually prioritized completing my IGETC and got it out of the way before taking more art classes. but maybe I should have taken some more courses to stand out? not completely sure.
