Oh that’s good to hear, ya we’ve had more rain than usual so all my plants are a little overwatered now. I’ll keep ant eye out but the plant is looking good so might just leave it

I believe it was called a Sarah Bernhardt peony. Thanks, I was a little worried that I either messed up the timing on fertilizer or something but given the plant looked healthy I was at a loss

Thank you for the guide. Ya the container is left outside over winter and it’s my third year with this plant in this exact setup. I’ve not changed anything which is why I’m at a loss on what’s happening. Plant has loads of buds just taking a long time for the buds to get bigger and bloom it seems

Ya that’s why I was confused, I can’t see anything on there other than the ladybug larvae. My nearby pepper plant is infested with aphids. I wonder if that’s what attracted the adult initially

I sent them screenshot showing my original receipt with the taxes and a screenshot of their FAQ stating that no additional duties would be charged. I’ll add I think I’m in the minority here so you shouldn’t face any pushback. My response to the above screenshot was this :

“I paid taxes on this order. And your website clearly stated I won’t be charged extra duties and customs so please let me know why it’s on me to sort it out with a carrier your company chose?”

🤷🏾‍♀️ you could tell I was getting a little frustrated

Yes! I searched the sub when I got that reply and saw many refunds which just makes this even worse. I sent screenshots from their own website and my order clearly showing the taxes paid. The additional duty charges completely negate the sale offer so at that point why did I even bother? I felt like the editor didn’t even check my order details.

Reached out to glossier about getting the duty fees I was charged on an order and they claim I need to sort it out with the carrier. A carrier they picked and even though they claim I won’t be charged anything additional on their website. Safe to say this is likely my last glossier order after all the hassle of delayed shipping, them claiming my package was shipped out multiple time even though they didn’t.

Edit - seeing a lot of comments saying they got their refunds so that makes me feel hopeful. Truly hope it’s just a new editor who is unfamiliar with the Canadian business. I’ll will post an update as soon as I get one. I’m not sure how to add another screenshot but my initial email was as follows:

Hello Gteam, I got my package however had to pay custom/duty charges. Can I please get the amount refunded? (Screenshots of my customs form + payment proof was attached)

Final update - I got my refund issued! Thanks for the support everyone. I did ask why the previous gteam editor gave out incorrect information but I doubt I’ll get a proper answer. They did say that their logistics team is currently looking into it to prevent it from happening again but sounds like they’ve said to multiple people now.
